Sanford airport offsite parking

I'll be flying up to NY in August ($69 each way on Allegiant) and wonder if there is an offsite parking facility thats cheaper(for 2 weeks) vs parking at the airport itself which charges $10 a day I think. And if so do they have transportation to and from the airport? ºOº

Not sure if 'vehicle storage' is the same thing as long term parking. Again..yet another first time poster with info regarding a specific commercial enterprise.
Not sure it's what you're looking for...looks to be a big ole field with some canopy type buildings in it. Probably someone who decided to rent out spaces in their field for parking.

$10/ day at the airport. Shuttle service. Reasonable security. Not a bad deal.

Service being hawked by a possible spammer. $5 /day. Parking in an open field. $25 R/T for transportation to the airport. Hours are 8a-8p. Extra charge if those hours don't work. Cash only.

The answer is Sanford doesn't have places like Avistar offering offsite parking. The airport rates are low enough and the demand probably isn't high enough to support that kind of business.

I'm amazed at the pre-disposed opinions stated by all 3 of you. I'm not a Spammer, I run a great service & save people some money, No I can't accomodate everyone, but people who travel 8 days or more begin to see savings & snow birds park theie RV's here & long term parking the savings is substantial. Why do you assume such a negative attitude w/ no knowledge of my operation, licensed for 10 years & located at the end of the runways.I see only a bunch of negative busybodys here with no justification for your comments.

Your post proves my point. A typical vacationer, staying about a week, will not realize any savings. Your operation isn't anything like offsite airport parking offered by companies like Avistar.

I'm sure people looking to store a vehicle for long periods of time, such as snow birds, might benefit from your service.

That's not the kind of person who posts on DIS.

I offer what I offer, not to compete with some other parking facility as you state, we are not like Avistar, well neither is the Sanford airport like OIA. The return flight lands at 8:50p. Your site suggests an additional charge for people who need to retrieve their car after 8p.

Your service may work for some people, you mentioned snow birds. Your service isn't offsite airport parking similar to Avistar. Your hours aren't 24/7, you don't provide complimentary shuttle service and you don't take credit cards.

Edd was right. Your parking isn't the kind of parking which is normally considered off site airport parking.

You may provide a great service for long term storage, a month or more. Add the cost for transportation to/from the airport. The added cost if you need your car before 8a or after 8p. You probably need to be leaving your car for 2 weeks before it starts to make sense. You probably serve a need but it's really not applicable to guests taking a week (or two) vacation.

First i'm going to apologize for my negative comments drawn from frustration on the posts. They were out of line & i ask forgiveness. you are entitled to your opinions . I never even knew of this website untill a customer brought Edds post to my attention & my response was only a correction. The sanford Airport is a well run facility & provides convenience for its travelers, i already did vehicle storage for over 10 years & was approached by a local taxi service to expand into off site alternative, your correct that this airport won't support the BIG GUYS operations, yet, but i have the capability to provide savings for some travelers. We try to provide a convenient , safe, secure facility & treat each customer on an individual basis to fit their needs, which means all hours, any weather & 24/7, 365. I'm leaving this site now as i hope we are all clear on this issue.

Everyone is welcome, by this 'know it all housewife' as well as the board owners, to post here on these boards. However, they are NOT allowed to promote their business unless they have been given prior authorization by the board owners.
