DAY 9 ~ THREE PARKS and WATER WORKS!
Well this was the day it started to sink in. Only a couple more days until we had to go home. I wasn't looking forward to packing at all! I thought I would have lots of room to pack since the Yellow Gift Bag toys could not be compacted instead of the foo-foo wrapping and the diapers would be gone, but it didn't look good! DD was starting to get emotional too ~ that's the WATER WORKS part of the day ~ she didn't want to leave. Last year, by the end of the trip, she was looking forward to home and her toys. This trip, she would have been happy staying a month. DD's fav character meal was Donald's Breakastosaurus so we got PS but didn't tell her! We include the kids on the vacation planning so there doesn't seem to be too many surprises ~ the Yellow Gift Bag and PS at Donald's were BIG surprised for DD! I was great! Mickey called at 6:40am! YIKES! Had to be at AK for 8am. We actually parked in PEACOCK ROW #1 ~ LOL! Now that's early! The breakfast was great. The food isn't bad ~ the characters are great! DS loves Pluto and I told the old doggy so and he actually BARKED and sat with us a spell! Special moments! Mickey, Goofy and of course Donald were there too! We ventured off to Dinosaur again! The kids were the first little tots in the Boneyard ~ great sand! About 10:15am headed to Asia so I could try Kali River Rapids. I took DH advise and tucked my shoes away in the dry spot in the middle of the raft. Good thing! I got the WET SEAT! We did both animal trials at Asia and Africa ~ didn't see too many animals but the grounds were excellent! Went to Conservation Station. I knew the train ride and the goats would be a big deal to the kids! And they loved it! We had done Camp MM and Bug's Life during a previous trip so we ended up seeing everything we wanted in AK. Missed the parade. No time. Next time. I was surprised to see the Discovery Boat Ride was gone. I asked about it. CM said Michael E. didn't think it was much of a ride and it's history. I liked it! Did it in 1998. Missed it! Went back to CSR for afternoon nap! DS woke up about 4pm. We wanted to see the 5pm Parade at MGM so we headed there next. Excellent parade ~ lots of fun! Great seats in the shade! Afterwards we went to ToT and RnR, this time it was my turn! I love those rides! I was craving Epcot, so we went over for dinner ~ managed to see ToD and Illuminations for the third time! I packed the kids bathing suits for the Epcot water fountains ~ what a hoot! We were all having such a great time, didn't want it to end ~ BUT it must ~ last park day tomorrow. Sandra
