DAY 10 ~ Last park day!

I planned NOTHING for the last park day except PS at Crystal Palace at 4:25pm. I left it up to the gang to pick their fav things for the morning. We woke up at 8am, but Mickey called at 8:30am anyway to make sure we were up! We headed over to the Character Caravan ~ saw Robin Hood and Rafiki ~ can't recall the third character. The family picked MGM! We arrived at 10am to a HUGE security line. Still they didn't seem to be doing much checking. We got Fast Pass for 11:30am Indy Show. DH and DD went to Star Tours while I took the babe to see Buzz and Woody again. The Indy show was way cooooool! Highly recommend it! I accidently found GoH badges which I gave up looking for at MK days early. So now the kids have badges and they worked! DD loved being called my her name at the parks! We rode RnR and ToT for the last time. We had a good long afternoon rest with everyone swimming. Most evenings we would all head to the pools for a dip! We arrived at MK at 4pm, I saw that the Barber Shop was empty and went it! WOW! What a great idea! THANKS TO EVERYONE ON THESE BOARDS WHO POSTED ABOUT THE BARBER SHOP! I got ds's FIRST HAIR CUT and all the trimmings (hee hee hee) He got Mickey Ears with FIRST HAIR CUT and a certificate, he got 24 stickers and dd got the same! Highly recommend this!!!!! Off to Crystal Palace for 4:25pm dinner. DD decided to have a complete sobbing scene about not wanting to go home. It was sad. She was tired too so that didn't help. She gathered herself and ended up having a great last night! The characters were great, but I think we will retire this one for a while. We have done Cindy's and Crystal Palace three times each. I think we'll keep Cindy's tradition, but lose CP. No great food variety. It was tasty, but I'm finished. We made the rounds for rides at Fantasyland, Toontown and Tomorroland before resting in a nice spot to see Spectromagic again. It's such a lovely parade. Great music! Fantasy in the Sky was great too! We watched it from the base on Main Street USA and headed to the resorts monorail right afterwards. We got back to CSR by 10:30pm. DS went to sleep while DD and I shopped a bit more at El Centro. I packed up and got to bed about 1am. Sad to see it all end! One more day and finally is tomorrow. Sandra

Oh Sandra, I got all choked up reading about your daughter at the CP...I know how she feels...I always feel the same way but I'm too big for a sobbing scene . I hate that feeling you get on the last day when you know the magic is almost over.

I loved reading your trip reports...so glad you had such a good time.

I am so glad we did the barber shop. It's located to the left as soon as you wake into the town square. I would have missed it, it's tucked in there good! Just happened to walk in front of it!

We went by it fairly early in the trip and it was busy. Just happened to poke my head in the last day. Happy to have done it! Very special memory.

OH BTW. I have been watching some of the vacation video and I came across Dale, ds and myself doing the ice cream social BRAIN FREEZE and it's a hoot! I was on the floor laughing! Our kids are still in "character" age group. Chat soon! S

Don't you just love those GoH badges. Got mine a few days into the trip and it was kinda cool being called by your first name.
