BTW, is that true about him leaving his pregnant wife for Sandra?

I read an article that they have been married for almost 7 years, and his DD is 5. I was hoping that was a typo. I'm not sure.

ETA--just read that he and Sandra have been married since 2005, and he divorced his 5 Y.O. DD's mother in 2004. So it looks like he may have left her while pregnant, but perhaps not. Anyway the article I read was a typo.

I read on IMDB that his daughter was born Jan 1, 2004. Sandra and Jesse supposedly met sometime during 2004, and then married in 2005. So, he may have left his pregnant wife.. but not for Sandra.

I was thinking about Paul Newman's wife, Joanne Woodward, when I read that Cursed Best Actress article. She won the Oscar for The Three Faces of Eve, a few months after they were married and according to the IMDb.com, she had another 27 wins & 31 nominations for various awards & accolades. They were married for 50 years, unto his death.


Both of these husbands were proud of their wives.


The men on the list who cheated on their Academy Award winning wives are just Beta male cowards, who couldn't man up where it really counted.

Yep!

Paul Newman divorced his first wife (with whom he had THREE children) and the divorce was final on Jan 28, and he married Woodward 1 whopping day later.

I don't think we get to demonize one man and say that "leopards can't change their spots" while idolizing one man and IGNORING what he did, just b/c many of his movies were in black and white and many of us weren't alive for most of his life.

Geez what is happening that women won't stay away from married men? I know it's his fault but it seems there was a time that women had each other's back, and wouldn't touch you with a ten foot poll if you were married??

Um, when exactly was that mythical magical time period? Maybe back before marriage was invented for property "management" purposes?

Holy criminy, look at Henry the 8th...think his second wife came into the picture AFTER his first wife was gone? And so on up to the last wife.

There's no such time, apart from before marriage was invented, when all people kept away from people who were married.

I've always liked Sandra Bullock- she seems down to earth, genuine, not an attention seeker, AND she has talent.

To be honest, I don't even know who J.J. is but after reading this thread I must say that I'm not surprised that he cheated.

It so so so sad. Any case of infidelity in marriage is sad, heartbreaking, and makes me pray that I never have to go through that. I can't even imagine how someone would feel after learning their significant other cheated on them.

Sandra deserves better and I'm confident she'll pull through on top. Regardless, my heart breaks for her.

When Jesse was on Celebrity Apprentice, he seemed like he was such an upstanding guy, always wanting to do everything to win the challenge but with little or NO drama. He seemed aggravated when other celebrities would play the "let's look at me, the celebrity" card! He was so quiet and such low maintenance. Occaisonally, Donald would mention Sandra and how fabulous an actress she is and he would smile from ear to ear.

I am just so shocked by this IF indeed any of it is true as Sandra has always said the most wonderful things about Jesse and their life together.

I have to say I admired the fact that JJ never mentioned who he was married to ~ it was always Trump who brought it up. also JJ would never call Sandra Bullock to help him even when Trump made it pretty clear he was going to lose if he didin't.

Cheating is NEVER ok but these men never even pick normal women to cheat with, of course a respectable woman would never sleep with a married man (who she KNEW was married). I don't think this was "sudden" to Sandra...at the Golden Globes ( I think) when she says in her speech "you're so hot, annnnndddddd, I love you" DH and I looked at each other and said was she trying to sound goofy with that? Seriously, it was just odd, maybe she was in shock of the moment, but it sounded more like an after thought. I imagine they had to keep up a good front for a while, the Oscar buzz started early for her, and I believe they tried to keep the status quo. The news broke PDQ after the celebration died down, matter of weeks.
Jesse James left his ex when she was 8 months pregnant.

Yep. I would not admire that fact either.

I agree with FINFAN, Sandra has been sitting on this and waiting for the Oscar stuff to be over with so she could leave.

She believed in him and he was not able to hold up his end of the bargain. I am happy that she is smart enough to leave him and move on.

I think(for what that is worth) that Sandra was blindsided by this. Her Oscar speech seemed so genuine to me. I think he knew the &*^% was gonna hit the fan and told her and that is why she moved out on Monday before this broke in the media. Poor Sandra.
