How can anyone be surprised...least of all Bullock? This was his third marriage. He cheated on his first wife. He left his second when she was pregnant. Yes, she was a porn star, but he seemed to have no problem with that and they had an open marriage.

I like Sandra Bullock and thought she and Jesse made a cute "opposites attract" couple ... she really seemed to genuinely adore him too, (based on her acceptance speeches at the Globes & Oscars this year) ... if he really did cheat on her, he is the biggest fool ...

That's what I'm saying! Also, when Jesse was a teen he stole Scott Hamilton's (the ice skater) sports car. He totally car jacked it. When Jesse and Scott faced off on THE APPRENTICE last year, Jesse apologized to him. But , I hope the cheating story is not true!!

didn't know all that except that he was married to a porn star ... but yup, you are correct, no matter how hard someone may try to change someone else, a leopard (usually) does not change his spots ...

OP: there are lots of Thin, beautiful, and Independent women that get cheated on. It sounded like it makes it okay if your chubby and have a husband that provides for your family and not exactly beautiful? I guess I just don't want to think that only beautiful people deserve good solid relationships, if ya know what I mean...it so happens I do not happen to think she is "beautiful" in looks, she is rather plain to me... but just emaciated looking lately! Her beauty may be from within, which is so much more important!

I guess what I am saying is...it is most often not the "looks" of a person that makes someone want to cheat anyway......there is a "Lack of" something that the "cheater feels they need" Its not about the person that got cheated ON...cheaters are after something else.... I am not making light of her situation but just saying since she has those attributes, he's crazy/nuts/lucky is just wrong IMHO....men cheat, women cheat, they cheat on ugly people and lovely people..........Once a cheater, always a cheater, good riddance, I say!!

I'm so angry with him. I really like Sandra Bullock.

In January, Jesse's dog "Cinnabun" (a pit bull) went missing:

It happened days before the Oscar noms had come out. She stated she'd rather have ther husband's dog back, because of how bad he was hurting, than (her very first!!!) Oscar nomination.

They did - BTW - get the dog back at the end of February.

That being said - Jesse James is not very well liked in the Pit Bull Community (if you want to call it that) - (and of course, I'm trying to find links, and can't find what I'm looking for. I've lost my Google touch, lately....) To sum it up - I believe he already had an issue with one of his pit's getting out, and roaming the neighborhood, and if I'm not mistaken caused some mayhem. Then this second pit bull, being in his shop (loose, was to be assumed) and *poof* she's gone.

Yet - you had his wife, Sandra, saying she'd rather have her husband's dog back, than an Oscar.

What a jerk.

I think what the OP may have been trying to say is that when a husband cheats, the wife feels extremely insecure, wondering if she's not pretty enough, thin enough, etc.

So this is just a validation that no, cheating has nothing to do with looks, because pretty, thin girls DO get cheated on.

It makes me so sad to think about one of her award speeches this year where she said, "I've never been with someone before who had my back" (thanking Jesse for having hers). Ugh. I always wondered what she saw in him, but I had hoped that he had changed his ways with her. She seems like such a beautiful person, I've been a fan ever since "While You Were Sleeping". What a way to ruin her amazing year.

i'm not surprised. jesse james has always seemed to be attracted to trashy-looking women. i was actually surprised when i heard he was dating, then married, sandra bullock. she's way too clean-looking for him, and from what i'm told from a friend who works in the movie business, is a genuinely nice, caring person. i pray the situation works out the way she wants it to, whatever that is.

It is really sad what she said on Barbara Walters. Babs repeated what Sandra said on the Globes, that Jesse has her back. Babs asked "How does he have your back?"

Sandra said, (paraphrasing) "He makes me feel safe. He is the first person where I don't have to be anyone other than who I am. He accepts me exactly as I am. My work did improve after being with him. Before meeting him, my life was about my work and staying successful. That's all I had to focus on. Now, I can take chances & fail, because I can't lose. I win either way. I have him to come home to."



He's like Josh Duhamel also who allegedly cheated on singer, Fergie with a stripper. These men have wives more powerful & successful and in order to feel some power themselves, they have to find someone who is easy and willing to fawn over them, who will make them feel like they are someone special. They already had someone at home who thought they were special.

When Jesse was on Celebrity Apprentice, he seemed like he was such an upstanding guy, always wanting to do everything to win the challenge but with little or NO drama. He seemed aggravated when other celebrities would play the "let's look at me, the celebrity" card! He was so quiet and such low maintenance. Occaisonally, Donald would mention Sandra and how fabulous an actress she is and he would smile from ear to ear.

I am just so shocked by this IF indeed any of it is true as Sandra has always said the most wonderful things about Jesse and their life together.

First let me just say I am truly sorry for Sandra Bullock. I believe she is one of the nicest people in movies today and do not think she in any way deserves to have this happen to her.

Now let me say how very surprised I am that no one has yet posted how "there must be more to the story" or that "she isn't telling everything" or that "it's never one sided".

I'm happy that no one has posted any of these usual doubts. If I (or any of you) came on here and posted that our husband was cheating on us it would not get this far without someone making us feel like they believe we are not telling the truth.

Good for all DISers for just once not casting any doubt on a nice lady who is hurting.
