Sandhill Cranes. Photos

I have seen these birds since we've lived here but always when I've been flying down the road and been unable to stop. They are Sandhill Cranes and today I was able to approach a flock of 9 birds and photograph them. Standing over 5 feet tall, they are truly magnificent!

What a joy to be part of their world if only for a few moments.

So that's what they are. They were out behind our villa while we were in FL and we had never seen them before!! It's nice to put a name to the bird!!!
