Sandestin Intrawest?

Has anyone been to Sandestin Intrawest? The map looks like it's not even on the beach. We are looking at this place as a family vacation destination, (with two teens) trading through RCI. Just wanted to make sure it is right on the beach. Thanks!

The condo I stayed at in San Destin was not on the beach. They did have a shuttle that picked up and dropped off at the beach - but the beach was not really very close at all.

Sandestin Intrawest is not on the beach side, it is on the Bayside. The pp poster is right though...they have a shuttle service that takes you over to the beach side. The Sandestin resort is huge and Club Intrawest is a small portion of it. The resort is a nice resort, but if you're looking to be able to walk right out to the beach, this place is not for you.

It's not right on the beach but it's really nice. There's a tunnel that goes under Hwy. 98 so you can walk to the beach, but it's a bit of a trek. We stay in some OLD (but very well-maintained) condos with my parents and viewed the Intrawest timeshare once. There are a lot of pools and a lot of restaurants within walking distance but you'd probably want to either drive or take the shuttle to the beach.

Thanks! We would have been disappointed if we had gone, because we do like being right on the beach.

For RCI trade check out Escapes in Orange Beach AL...we are only a couple of hours West of Destin, with the same beautiful white sand beaches and Escapes is right on the beach.
