sandcastle club at BCV

Has anyone used the child care facilities at the DVC properties? we will be at BCV in july- how far in advance do you need to reserve for the kids club? do you call the resort directly?

any info is appreciated!

we used the Sandcastle club during our April 2006 trip and were very pleased. My girls enjoyed it, and we have made reservations again for our upcoming trip. DH and I plan to leisurely wander the World Showcase, I'll be able to poke around in the shops, and we'll have a few drinks

you make reservations through Disney Dining, just like ADRs, beginning 180 days out. you will need to give a credit card # and there is an advance cancellation policy, I forget if it's 24 or 48 hours in advance.

can I ask- what time did you drop them off- and how many hrs did they stay? dh and I want to ride some rides at epcot that we can't do with the boys in toe- but figure we need to be at epcot when they distribute the wristbands- but I don't know when they would give out the band.

I can't remember what time was drop off time. They have two dinner times so you don't have to drop them off early and still get them fed. We always called once we were there and never had a problem getting them in. Our two kids (ages 5 and 8) love it and ask to go!

My kids have been to the Sandcastle Club a few times and love it. When I take requests for restaurants etc. when planning they always say "are we going to get to do a kids club this time?" We used it this trip for DH and I to go to the Candlelight Processional on our own (or alone + 14 month old ). It opens at 4:30 and closes at midnight. I have no idea if they have a max stay or not. Our kids are usually there 2-3 hours.

We went to dinner the last time, dropped the girls off at 5:30 and had a 6:00 reservation at Flying Fish. We picked them up at 8:15, and they charged in 15 minute increments. I figured we would be paying for 3 full hours, but they prorated it to 2.75 hours which was nice.

If you don't mind me asking, how much do they charge per hour? We were thinking of using one of the clubs when we went in Oct.
