Sandal's Resort - where to book

For those that have been to Sandal's do you book direct or a travel agent for best price? Specifically Montego Bay. I went to the website and confused on the rooms, any recommendations appreciated!

Be very selective on where you go! Research into that country to make sure you'll be comfortable traveling outside the resort. We went to Jamaica and there were a few times I was worried about personal safety.

We went to jamaica too (for our honeymoon) and the "market shopping trip" was scary!!

As far as rooms try to get an ocean view. We had a view of a courtyard and a small tree....not good at all!

If you're going to Jamaica I highly recommend Sandals Whitehouse. All of the rooms are ocean view and it is really private. We didn't have anyone trying to sell us stuff on the beach or feel unsafe at any time.

Back to add that we stayed at Sandals Royal Caribbean, the resort was great, as was the horse back riding trip we took (off site) but the shopping trip (off site) was what scared me. Both offsite trips were booked thru Sandals.
