we ate at cape may cade last christmas eve for dinner and after eating we walked around the grounds and had a walk on the sand.

loved it!

we are wanting that same expeirence again without having to eat at cape may....

thinking grand cafe at the floridian...is there beach access?

or shutters at the caribebean beach?

You can do anything at GF, YC, BC and Poly....they all have beaches you can walk around on

To emphasize - you do not have to eat anywhere to enjoy a Disney property. You can easily enjoy the beach at the Beach Club just by going out the International Gateway at Epcot. You can enjoy the beach at any of the monorail resorts simply by taking the monorail or a motor launch over to the resort. If you really want a secluded experience, take the launch over to Fort Wilderness Campground (not the resort) and enjoy that beach.

The Grand Floridian Cafe is a great choice. We had a memorable meal there. May I also suggest the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian in the Garden View Tea Room. This is a unique experience we have fond memories of. You may stroll the grounds and beach at your pleasure.

The other monorail resorts, Polynesian and Contemporary, also have CS and TS restaurants, and beaches. Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness also have beaches and a quick way there would be by boat from MK. I think Wilderness Lodge is especially pretty dressed up in Christmas decorations. They have CS, plus Whispering Canyon Cafe and Artist Point restaurants there. Also the Territory Lounge is super nice, great atmosphere, and light appetizer menu.

There is an electrical water pageant in the evening, on Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake, around 8:30-9:30, which stops at each monorail resort plus WL and FW. We have seen the Pageant from our Monorail ride around the Lagoon. That would be a magical addition to your beach walk. Check Pageant times for the resort you choose, when you arrive at WDW. :)

On a day you are at MK, take the boat to the Polynesian.
It drops you off at the beach.
Then find a hammock and relax with Cinderella's castle in the distance.
Or go at dinner time and stay to watch the electric water pageant & wishes from the beach.
OR (haha - so many ideas) get to the Poly for hula lessons (free) in the lobby and grab a drink and go to the beach
Or get to the Poly for the torch lighting ceremony (free and awesome) grab a drink and go to the beach

Can you tell I like the Poly? ;)
