OK, so this isn't really a serious post, but I was amused by part of Kevin's review o the Sand Trap Grill on this week's podcast.
Kevin commented that the place had no Disney touch to the theme-ing. Actually, the theming of this place is something Disney got exactly correct. The places I play at typically have small grill-type rooms where the atmosphere, food and service are almost exactly as Kevin described at the Sand Trap Grill. It sounds like the back-story for this place was very well researched.
Continuing on the theme theme; I always wondered why the Contemporary was such a simple/cold/blah design, seemingly without an special Disney touches. This was especially obvious in the early days when the Poly appeared so over-the-top in theming. Then I realized that when the Contemporary was being built that's really what the then-current architectural trend was.
OK, so I rambled. Its a lazy Sunday morning. We now return you to your regularly scheduled DIS discussions.
