sanaa

I hate Indian curries. With a passion, capital H. Yuck is what I say. I don't have many food aversions, but this is one of them.

But I went to Sanaa for dinner about a year ago. Loved what I ordered because I did not order anything with curry in it.

I had the sustainable fish entree, which was "normal" by any standards, meaning non-adventurous. But I am an adventurous eater by nature, Indian curry notwithstanding.

I would recommend that there are menu items that are good for non-adventurous eaters, and the servers would be more than happy to make recommendations that would satisfy just about anyone.

They will adjust the way they cook thinks for anyone and have a few different options for sides that they won't initially mention to you. Like I love the lamb there, but I don't like the sauce, I mentioned this and they just grilled it with salt & pepper I think. None of the sides were to my liking so they have roasted potatoes which were great, just a little undercooked for my taste. I have been there 3 times and every time they have been very accomodating.

I feel kinda bad for the OP. people are putting her down for her choice of the word "normal".

granted, she should have said "american". but I understand what she meant.

she is not saying SHE wants to eat there and just get chicken strips. she is saying she is more adventurous than some in her party., but is being considerate of them

there are many restaurants I like to try in WDW becauseit is different food than I can get back home. but, alas, hubby is not so adventurous.

so when we look at menus we choose mostly restaurants we both would like, but he is willing to try others is there is something he could eat on the menu.

turned out, we have eaten at marrakesh 3 times! he does like the sultans platter. (ok, he would rather have meatloaf, but he liked it).

so this question sounded like a good question to me. e sp. if it is a group, instead of only 2 people. where else can you ask, if not on the DIS?

it sounds like you could get the burger with the sauce on the side? and maybe the steak, hold the toppings?

I have a silly question: what is sustainable fish? sorry if most people already know this, and I should, but asking it anyway...;)

smidgy-

Today's Sustainable Fish - served with seasonal Vegetables in a light Curry Broth

When I was there last year it was the Atlantic Char in the sustainable fish, I don't know if it's the same fish every year.

It was very good, yummy, we are going back in 2 months, I hope it's just as good a second time!

aurora? howdy, neighbor!

here's why I thought myquestion might be silly. I don't know what it means by "sustainable".

If you have picky eaters who are afraid of new foods, than no, this (dinner at least) is not the place for your party.
