Sanaa Restaurant

We have dinner planned at the Sanaa Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village. We have a reservation at 5:15 the sun sets about 6:15 that day can anyone let me know how late the animals are out and can you see them after the sun sets. Second questions we are spending the day at the Animal Kingdom the day we eat at Sanaa how long will it take to get to the restaurant from the Animal Kingdom.

You cannot see them after the sun sets. I don't know if they are out or not but the reflection on the glass and the darkness outside makes it pretty much impossible to see out the window after dark.

Are you taking a car or Disney transportation? A car should only take 10 minutes or so. For the bus, it's about a 10 minute ride but there's no telling how long you will have to wait at AK for the bus to AKL to arrive, so take that into consideration.

Thanks for your help. We are taking public transportation and I want to leave in time to make our reservation but don't want to leave to early so we can enjoy Animal Kingdom as long as we can that day. Im glad we made the earlier reservation so we can see out the windows for a while.

When we at Sanaa we dined at 5:30, but we were unable to see any animals. The table we had was out of the way - no real view. Make sure you request a window table when you check in for your adr!

We usually try to arrive a few minutes early and head outside with our kids to see the animals. There's not too much seating by the windows if oyu ask me. Both times we went, we were seated at the other end of of the restaurants iwth no view. Our girls were dissapointed but at least we all enjoyed our meal.

Although you have an early-ish ADR, there is no guarantee that you will get a window table. And asking for one may cause a further delay in being seated. So just count yourself lucky if you get one.

There are two ways to ensure you get time to see the animals: 1. Get there half an hour before your ADR and go outside to the viewing area. 2. Wait until after you've eaten and go outside. The CMs usually will have night vision goggles that you can use. I have only done this at the Jambo house viewing areas, but have read on other threads that this is done at Kidani as well.

I ate there at a similar time and AFTER dinner we went outside onto the patio with the fire pit and sat around a while enjoying the evening and did see a few animals wandering around. Sanaa provides more than just a look out the window when eating.

We had an amazing view on our last visit there - right next to the window. Giraffes galore, and those goofy looking birds. WE got there early evening, and were there through sunset. We could still see the birds, but the giraffes weren't as visible. Then the feed trucks came through and the animals "chased" it. It was so fun to watch!!
