Considering a Sanaa lunch on our Animal Kingdom park day. How much time should I plan for this? We will be driving.
I currently have a Tusker House brunch reservation but the kids are insisting on Chef Mickeys our last night...if I cancel Tusker House I thought Sanaa might be a good choice? Just don't want to spend a ton of time away from the park.

Walking to the AK exit, walking or taking the tram to your car, driving to AKL-Kidani, parking there and walking to Sanaa will take +/-30 minutes, I'd guess. Lunch will take maybe an hour? Then reverse the process back to AK. So I'd think at least a couple of hours, possibly more. And I wouldn't schedule any FP for at least 2 hours after the ADR time.

Sanaa lunch has been one of my very favorite WDW meals! If I weren't eating at Tusker House that would be my next table service choice on AK day. What about taking the bus to AKL-Kidani and back to the park? Minimize walking/finding parking spot, and the ride is short.

You could use Uber top cut time! It is like any restaurant..you never know if there will be a delay seating but it is not the hot frenzy of say BOG. We LOVED our lunch here. We got a bread service..WOW WOW and one order of Butter chicken to split between two adults and it was just right..and to DIE for. If the bread service sounds like your thing I higgly suggest getting all the dipping sauces option. FUN!

Kidani parking can have a slight walk to the restaurant but it's literally a 10 min drive from AK to Kidani. I'd factor in an hour for the actual lunch (which is absolutely fabulous by the way) add another 10 min for check in. You will probably want to request a window seat and sometimes you will need to wait for one to be free. So a minimum of 1 1/2 hours.

Thanks. I currently have a dinner reservation but am considering switching it to lunch to see the animals. Is it still a good reservation even if I go for dinner? I'm just not sure if I want to leave the park and come back. Animal Kingdom house are 9-7 and we have never been so I want plenty of time there.

The food is wonderful so yes still a GREAT reservation for dinner! The only difference is that in daylight you'll usually see animals on the savanna outside Sanaa's windows. If your dinner reservation is after dark, you probably won't see any animals.

If you can fit Sanaa in, definitely do so as its the best non-signature on property in my opinion. That said if you are concerned about leaving the park, we also really enjoy Yak and Yeti. Its not quite as good as Sanna, but they have some killer apps and desserts.
