Agreed. We have had night reservations several times. On occasion a giant bird might walk up to the window, but beyond that is just restaurant interior reflections.

It is very hard to see them at night unless they are very close to the windows. Try to book a lunch reservation!

When we went in november they were renovating and the view was totally obstructed. I'm not sure when the end date will be but keep it in mind my son was very disappointed.

Summer yes. Winter, no.

Nice view of the animals for lunch. Not so much for the evening.
Once it gets dark, you see your reflection.
In the evening , you go for the food. And its worth it.

If you want to go for dinner, but also want some animals, head to the lobby and the public/outside viewing areas. At certain times in the evening, a cast member will bring out night vision goggles you can use - we had some fun with those on one trip! If you arrive before nighttime you can also head out and view from there.

Yes, at night, just reflections.

After dining go to the outside viewing area, there is a firepit and a CM brings around night vision goggles and answers questions. It was such a highlight of our last trip we decided to stay at AKL this time.
