San Juan Port Damaged

I'm hearing that is Pan American pier for the treasure for next week...this was from the other areas people talk about Disney cruises :rolleyes1

That's the one next to the runway across the bay that we have departed from for Southern Caribbean Disney cruises.

Feeling better about our chances. Today 3 cruise ships are docked in the port at Old San Juan. The largest, the Carnival Magic has 4,700 passenger capacity.
My parents are on that cruise:) they enjoyed San Juan!

Not sure on the shuttle but my guess there will be some way to get to old Town...I do know Condado is probably walkable for most, maybe a mile and we have stayed there before. Fun restaurants and all that to see there.

Someone else said Cruise Mapper showed no ships docking at Pan American that day, but did see the Treasure on the schedule for Old Town. So really think we won't know until we get there.

My wife's knee is bothering her from slipping on the ice a week ago, so I'm trying to get as many plans in place to minimize her pain. She won't slow down (insert playful eye roll here), so I am trying to mitigate the stress in her knee.

Your best bet will probably be to take a cab or do a rideshare (Uber). If we do dock at Pan American you'll need a vehicle of some sort to get to Old Town.

Even if we do dock at Old Town, walking isn't super easy. Right by the pier it's all flat, but as you get into Old Town it is a bit hilly. My mom has a bad knee (she slipped on ice, too) and she did alright with it but it wasn't super easy.

San Juan cancelled for our cruise tmr. Replaced with lighthouse cay. They are giving $250 obc for the change.

February 1, 2025, sailing aboard the Disney Treasure.

We were advised by the port in San Juan, Puerto Rico, that the berth that was previously confirmed for the Disney Treasure is unavailable due to ongoing construction work. Unfortunately, we have determined that there are no suitable alternative berths available in San Juan, Puerto Rico for this sailing. Due to this unexpected change by the port, your sailing will now visit Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, The Bahamas. Your revised itinerary is below.

Saturday Port Canaveral, Florida
Sunday Day at Sea
Monday Day at Sea
Tuesday Tortola, British Virgin Islands
Wednesday Day at Sea (previously San Juan, PR)
Thursday Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point (previously Day at Sea)
Friday Disney Castaway Cay
Saturday Port Canaveral, Florida

As appreciation for your understanding of this itinerary change, we will provide each stateroom with a non-refundable, non-transferrable onboard credit of $250, which can be used only during this sailing. This onboard credit will automatically appear on the stateroom account and can be used onboard towards the purchase of shipboard services, merchandise, food and beverages, or Port Adventures.

Yup we just got that email too . Not sure about going back to Lighthouse port again.

Winner winner for us...been to San Juan many times... haven't been to Lookout so will be good for us but understand if u haven't been. $250 is fine for me but I'm sure many might be upset.

I'm sure it's a bummer for many. San Juan is pretty great. But at least Disney didn't just make it a sea day. That is a win in itself.

Mixed feelings. We’ve been San Juan twice on the Magic and love it. We have not been to Light House yet but we booked the Magic in July specifically to see the new private island.

Is because of the size of the treasure?
That's possible, but I think it's more likely that because Disney visits San Juan less often than some other cruise lines, they have lower priority when port spots need to be reassigned.

We have magic booked one way ending in Galveston in March so I was curious if it would impact that.
