San Francisco

I thought the cruise ship docks were a bit further away than 'right next to Fisherman's Wharf'. :confused3 Aren't they up closer to the bridge that takes you to Oakland? (I can't remember the name of the bridge.)

We didn't find the food in San Fran to be all that expensive for a large city. We were there last summer for a week and spent less money on food than we normally do on vacation.
Have to agree with you on people watching there, many 'sights' to be seen. :scared1:

That would be the Bay Bridge. If you go to Google maps and search "San Francisco Cruise Ship Terminal" it comes up right next to Fisherman's Wharf. I know Celebrity's Mercury sails to Mexico from that terminal, and I am not aware of any other cruise ship pier.

Last time I was in SF, Princess and Celebrity were docked, right at Fishermans Wharf. Not to say DCL will dock there, because we all know DCL does things that only they do.

The Disney Museum is the other must do for me.

Thanks. I thought it was up closer to the Bay Bridge.

You might be thinking of the ferry building near the Bay Bridge. We were in San Francisco for 3 nights last month, two different cruise ships came in and docked overnight while we were there. The cruise ship dock is right next to Pier 39. We stayed at the Sheraton in Fisherman's Wharf and could see the ships from our hotel.

San Francisco is a FANTASTIC city. I normally spend a week in East/West bay each June for work. I try and spend as much time in 'the city' as I can. The pier area is a hub for many activities; shopping, sight seeing, great food - etc.

People watching...uhm...er...WOW!! I've seen enough in SFC...to know...I've seen it all. Well...maybe not all.

the MUNI is a great way to get around...would suggest doing research on where you want to go...and the best way to get there. I wish I could offer a direct link...but the differrent Bay area transportation options have great resources on the internet.

We have friends that took a SFC tour via segways. This received great reviews. That would be a great way to get a good look around the pier area. I was hoping to have some time this June to try this.

For those taking this repo cruise...have a great time. The ports and time at sea...sound like an OUTSTANDING cruise. Am hoping this is offered in 2012. this would be the first 1/2 of my dream cruise...the second 1/2 would be continuing on to Alaska.
