We're only in San Diego for 2 days and we want to squeeze in Sea World, the San Diego Zoo & the Wild Animal Park during that time. Is it possible to squeeze in the Zoo & the WAP on the same day (and still see a good portion of both)? How long of a drive is the Zoo from the WAP?

Thanks! :)

Since you only have 2 days, I would do Sea World & SD Zoo in one day & the Wild Animal Park the other. SW & the SDZ are very close to each other while the WAP is in Escondido which is a pretty far drive from the other 2 places.

I would suggest to see which shows or exhibits you'd like to visit @ SW & then also see which animals you'd like to visit @ the zoo. Since the zoo is very large, it's best to make sure you have a good route so you're not going back & forth w/ little time to spend. HTH! :goodvibes

While I agree because of the distance, the WAP is by far the easiest to do quickly. With both the Zoo and Sea World you're going to be trying to get the scheduled shows in and it will be difficult. It is about 40 minutes between WAP and the Zoo or Sea World. The Zoo closes early ( as early as 4 ) except during summer - so it also depends on what time of year.

Sorry - but you've got a very difficult challenge. Maybe a 2 day Sea World pass (sometimes you get an extra day free ) and do the zoo, sea world one day, then sea world ( get the early shows ) and wap the next?

Good luck!

I would not try to do two of any of those attractions in the same day. I think you'd miss too much because you'd be rushing around trying to see as much as you can in a very short time. I suppose if you really HAD to do it, you could go to the Zoo first thing in the morning and do just the bus tour, and then head up to the WAP and do the savanna tram tour there, then spend the rest of your day wandering some of the rest of the park. By the time you drive, park, and walk from your car to the entrance it will be at least an hour between the two parks. If I had to choose between the Zoo and the WAP I would choose the Zoo - it's got the pandas, koalas, polar bears, the new Elephant Odyssey, and a couple of interesting animal behavior shows.

Just drove by a billboard advertising 'buy a day, get a 2nd free - and get in for the Children's price' at Sea World. So if your dates are included in that special, you could do the split I suggested - Zoo, Sea World part 1 on the first day, then Sea world (morning shows) day 2 and then WAP in the afternoon.
