How long realistically will it take to get from North County (Fallbrook) to Sea World, in order to be there by 8:30am in August? I was just looking at the Sea World website and they have a summer program(for close to the same price we pay for the summer camp programs here) my kids would LOVE, but it runs 8:30-noon. If we do it we'll be staying with my in-laws in Fallbrook. The idea of dealing with traffic at that time of day is enough to make me say forget it. Maybe the Wild animal park would be easier to get to?? They have summer programs too, but won't have the schedule available until April.

Thanks!

You would hit commuter traffic almost the entire trip. If you need to be inside Sea World by 8:30 am, I think you would need to be in the parking lot by 8:15 am. I would leave Fallbrook by 6:45 am.

The Wild Animal Park is much closer to Fallbrook. I bet you could make that in under 30 minutes.

Thanks, thats pretty much what I thought. We are probably spending a week with my In-laws next summer and I think one of these programs would be great fun and keep the kids busy while my in-laws are at work, but the drive to SW would be a nightmare. I'll keep my eye on the WAP and hopefully that will work out better.

Thanks for your reply!
