Hi there, My brother is getting married in San Diego in July. We are looking for a place to stay that is nice but doesn't cost a fortune. By the beach would be nice, but not a must have. Just nice and affordable. Any suggestions?

Where in San Diego is he getting married. San Diego is a big place:)

In July the beach will be expensive.

Oh I guess I should have included that lol. He is getting married on the south Beach in Coronado.

beach is expensive period anytime of season, even more in summer. last year we stayed at the courtyard by marriott in rancho bernardo which is a part of san diego but more towards the inland. the hotel was very nice and i loved the grounds, even had it's own lake. i believe we paid around $109 for a night.

Rancho Bernardo is definitely inland and probably a 45-minute drive from Coronado.

Your best bet is probably Hotel Circle, which is not on the beach, but has a variety of hotels at different prices, and is less than a 10-minute drive from Mission Bay.

I agree this will be your best bet!
