Is the San Angel Inn in Mexico a good place to eat? Is this the restaurant that overlooks the ride in Mexico? Are there tables or booths?

We love San Angel Inn. We usually eat there for lunch.

It does over look the ride in Mexico. We usually arrive a bit early for our ps and tell them we will wait for a table on the water.

The food and service are fantastic, and the mariache band usually plays at some time during the meal.

Its very nice and has a great atmosphere.

The food is good. Its not like Mexican like taco bell and that was a nice change of pace. Its very relaxing.

Our favorite place to eat in EPCOT. (Besides the bakery by the fountain. A morning ritual of ours at EPCOT.) We just love the service, talking to the cast members and the overall atmosphere.
Food is super.

Every trip there are dining rooms we hit each time and San Angel Inn is at the top of the list. Love the atmosphere, the service and the CM'c are great... (All Tables!)

It's very cool (atomsphere and temperature) and a great way to spend lunch. The margaritas are very good and deceptively strong!

Last time I went I loved it but my fellow travelers hit the bathroom immediately.
That said, it is still one of my 'must do's'

I love San Angel. It is my favorite place to eat in Epcot. I too request a table on the Water. It is so nice! You really feel like you are in Mexico in there!

We ate there for the first time this last trip. My mother hates mexican food so they let her order from the kids menu. It was excellent and the lunch prices were reasonable I thought.

The only negative...the soda tasted funny. We asked for new ones and they still tasted funny so we just asked for water. I don't know what was wrong with it, it was just off.

Otherwise, the atmosphere is fabulous and the food was really good.

We ate there for the first time on our last trip. Lovely scenery, relaxed and the food was pretty good. I would definetly try it!:D

San Angel is my very favorite Epcot restaurant! I highly recommend it if you're looking for something a little different. We'll be eating there again in just a couple of weeks.

The Cantina is good, too.

We had lunch here on our recent August trip. This was the worst meal of the entire trip (that said, all others meals were very, very good so they set a high standard). The salsa and chips were good, but the two adult meals were not good at all. I had the chef's special that contained a pork dish that was inedible - large chunks of very fatty pork that was just awful. My wife's meal was very plain - and something you can get at any average Mexican restaurant for 1/3 the price. The kids' quesadillas was very good - but the adult meals were bad.

Service was very good, gut this does not make up for the bad food.

We will not be going back to this restaurant.

Do they bring baskets of chips and salsa when you get there like other Mexican restaurants do?

Yes, they do.:D
