It has been close to a decade since the last time we ate at San Angel Inn. I had always avoided making ADRs there in more recent years because I've read bad reviews about bad food and poor service. Well, due to a change in other plans, I got a last minute ADR there yesterday, not expecting much....

What a surprise! We all loved it! I had the mole poblano, which was flavorful and delicious. DH had a grilled Wahoo which he said was also delicious and cooked perfectly (and he's picky about how his fish is cooked). We each enjoyed our margaritas (DH - Classic, Me - Blood Orange) which were tasty, adequately strong, and not at all watered down or too sweet. DS4 and DS6 each enjoyed their kids' quesadillas. They were also very accommodating of DS11 who is at that awkward in-between-a-kid-and-an-adult stage (in terms of restaurant food, anyway), and made him an off-menu plate of chicken tacos, rice, and beans.

The waitress was fantastic! Pleasant and helpful! She even brought out a special cooked salsa and plate of pickled jalapenos since my husband mentioned that he liked spicy foods.

The only down side was that it was a little on the expensive side, but considering that it's a sit-down meal at Disney...

All in all, it was a great meal with great service in a beautiful setting! We wouldn't hesitate to go back. Just thought I'd share our experience since I've seen so much negative about this place.

We ate there this past October for the first time and enjoyed it. We fell in love with the tortillas soup. Its a fun dish.

San Angel is a restaurant we never miss! We usually go for lunch because it's cheaper and still delicious! My sisters love the traditional Mexican lunch because it's like a three course meal and they can't get enough of the tortilla soup! I love the Pollo alas Rajas! Amazing!!! Also the margaritas that are served there are the same ones that are served at La Cava Del Tequila next door. You have to try the Avocado one, sounds gross but it is delicious.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's my wife and my favorite restaurant at Disney. As was already mentioned the food and atmosphere are wonderful. It doesn't hurt that we LOVE Mexican food.

We went there a couple weeks ago and loved it! I always wanted to try it because I loved the looks of it but was hesitant because of the reviews. Glad we did it!
