Tell me about San Angel Inn... Would 4:00 be a good time to go to get a table by the river? The desserts look good any thoughts on which ones are best? Do they only have 2 appetizers on the lunch menu? Thanks

I can't answer your questions but we ate there a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it (we were too full for dessert). But I just wanted to tell you that I love your picture...it's soooo cute.

Mom Poppins,
We went to the San Angel Inn for a late lunch on our last trip. We had a PS for 3:30, and the restaurant was fairly empty. I don't know when they switch over to the dinner menu, so you may want to find that out if you plan on paying less. 3:30 worked well for us. We requested a table by the water and we were seated within five minutes. It was so beautiful! We both ordered lime margaritas and then my boyfriend got some kind of tortilla soup that was excellent. I think that and the Queso Fundidos were the only two appetizers available. He ordered the Plato Mexicano, if I remember correctly, and I got one of the Chef's Selections for the day, which was Mahi-Mahi baked in a banana leaf and a chicken burrito with mole sauce, rice and veggies. It was excellent! We didn't order dessert, but I've read in a couple of reviews that their rice pudding is not good at all, so you may want to avoid that... We left very satisfied by the experience. Our server was great, as well.

Thanks for the quick replys... Dinner is at 4:30 until closing, so we took the last available lunch seating at 4:00.... We have rode the boat ride on several occasions ... My 4 DD are going to be excited to be eating there this trip.. Thanks again
