San Angel Inn or Coral Reef?

I am sorry, but these two restaurants are on my worst list, in or out of WDW.

Have you tried Chefs De France? We tried it for the 1st time last year and now it's on our must do lists.
Yes we have and I wasn't thrilled with it. Maybe we will try it again another time. We would like to try one we haven't done yet.

SAI doesn't get a lot of love here, but we're trying it for the first time on our next trip. I love the atmosphere. It may end up being a one and done for us, but it's somewhere we've always talked about trying.

Go for it. We've always found the food to be just fine. And make sure to request a waterfront table; we have never had to wait that long. Sitting by the water watching the boats go by does indeed make for a wonderful atmosphere, much like the Blue Bayou in Disneyland.

I am sorry you were not thrilled with it. Our musts are Biergarden, Chef's de France, Le Cellier, and Teppan Edo.

We also like Via Napoli, Tokyo Dining, Spice Road Table and Rose and Crown.

I guess I’m just lazy but I would base my decision on where in EP I’ll be when I plan on eating.

If I’m in the World Showcase I would pick SAI and CR if I’m in Future World.

Another vote for SAI. We have been to both. Love the atmosphere at SAI and the chips and salsa are always a nice starter. Appetizers and entrees are easy to share, and price is fairly cheap.

We were at CR probably 5 years ago and we never went back. Nothing was horrible, but we just didn't really care for it. We were just at SAI recently and loved it, and it'll be on our must do list. I'm surprised more people don't like it.

San Angel Inn gets my vote. I love the restaurant as it’s so different & pretty to dine at. And I love their tortilla soup!

This is the first restaurant we dined at about 15 + years ago on our first Disney trip. I still think it’s one of the prettiest restaurants at Disney , even if the tables are really close together.

A hint is, if you book a ADR at the first seating time at lunch you have a pretty good chance to get a seat by the water if you request it when you check in.

We dine here every single trip & we both enjoy it. We have dined at most of the places in Epcot but San Angel Inn & Teppo Edo are on each trip repeat list.

We enjoy Coral Reef too... if we get seated by the tanks it’s a better experience. My hubby likes dining here more than I do... however, my being allergic to shellfish cuts down on the things I can eat here.

They do have an excellent salad & I love their pork chop.

I've only been to CR and it was pretty good, though we got seated far away from the aquarium which took away some of the "wow" factor of the restaurant. I will say though that whichever route you pick you should be happy you did. My family makes it a point to make sure that we get to places we have never experienced before as we often found ourselves re-visiting the same restaurants. There are so many great experiences there that you should try to see as many as you can. I hope you enjoy no matter which place you choose.

We just went there last week and all enjoyed it. I did request to sit near the water when we checked in, it's worth a try to nicely inquire.

These restaurants get mixed reviews, but we’ve had great experiences at both! They both have very cool atmospheres and food is good - not extraordinary, but good in our opinion. I’d try one this trip and one the next! We just had a fabulous dinner at Coral Reef! I’d request a table near the tank, which enhances the experience. San Angel is dark, but has a neat vibe and yummy food. Enjoy!!!

We have never tried SAI, although it looks beautiful! CR is a place we eat at every trip we go to Epcot. The food has always been good. The aquarium had more animals in it on our first visit than our last one. I'm not sure why. There were no turtles or rays to be seen the last time we were there.

We don't love the food at San Angel Inn. The atmosphere is really cool but as others have mentioned, it's very dark in there and the tables are close together. It's neat if you can sit on the edge of the restaurant and watch the boats go by. I would give it a try if you haven't.

We usually do Coral Reef every trip because my kids love the giant fish tank. We've never had bad food here. It's another place that I would give a try if you haven't. If you can wait and sit next to the tank, even better.

I would say the deal breaker for me would be without kids=San Angel and with kids, I would go with Coral Reef.

HA !!!! San Angle Inn !!!!!

BTW...just my own personal taste buds talking..... San Angel Inn is my #1 favorite restaurant in all of Disney. Coral Reef is my #1 least favorite! Such as easy choice for me, but you could have said any restaurant vs San Angel Inn and my answer would always be SAI !! YUMMMMMMMM.
