Which one?

I've ate at Coral Reef- great atmosphere but the food was so-so but I loved the dessert!!!

I've never ate at San Angel Inn - but loved the counter service in Mexico.

Any suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We also like the counter service place in Mexico, but thought the food at San Angel Inn was awful. The worst we've had anywhere at WDW, period. It's the only place we've vowed never to go back. I also didn't think that the food at Coral reef was the best at WDW, but loved the dessert. At least the atmosphere there is special though. Of the two choices, there's no contest for me. Have you thought of trying somewhere at Epcot that you've never been before? There are just so many choices there. Go to the dining section of this site and you can see all the menus.

I vote for Coral Reef. To me, it is so relaxing to eat with all of the ocean life surrounding me...:cloud9:

Unfortuately, I've seen many bad reviews of San Angel Inn. We've never eaten there, only the CS restaurant in Mexico. My vote would be for Coral Reef.

I agree re: Coral Reef, thumbs up on the atmosphere, the food is so-so, but the desserts (chocolate wave for me) are awesome!

I actually like the atmosphere at San Angel Inn as well, but the food is just ok. We went to WDW back in February, and the volcano area had been boarded up, and ruins the vibe. If the rehab is still going on, I would opt for CR. (Thankfully, I had read posts on the DIS about this and canceled by ADRs. I'm glad I did!)

I love the atmosphere at San Angel Inn and would go just for that. The food isn't terrible, just not terrific.

I like them both very much. I do have to say San Angel gets its share of bad reviews here on the dis. I happen to like it, but then I love that style of Mexican food (non Tex Mex). If you don't like that style of Mexican, or go expecting it to be Tex Mex I can see how it would be a disappointment.

I thought the food at San Angel was great. It was also really good at Coral Reef. Both have amazing atomospheres, too.
Hmm...guess I am not helping much, huh? I love them both!

We've never been to Coral Reef but agree with others that San Angel Inn was probably our worst dining experience. Bad service, bad food.
