Sam's Club hotel booking not coming through

Help. I booked a Bonnet Creek hotel through Sams Club last week, for a stay starting next week. The "third party site" still has not given me a "hotel confirmation" although I do have the Sam's Club confirmation. I've called Sams Club, their third party "Travel & Entertainment" and keep getting assured that I do have a hotel, albeit the room won't be assigned to me until a few days before arrival. (note, I've been calling all of them every day since I made the reservation on March 17....it is now March 23). I thought I had made some headway today, because I actually spoke to a representative who promised me that I would have the reservation in my name by the end of today. That was six hours ago. The room, unfortunately, was booked as non-refundable, so I can't even "cancel" the room to book something else.

Question: When I arrive in Lake Buena Vista next week and if I arrive at the hotel and there still isn't a room in my name, how quickly can I book a room through either Disney itself (note: I am an AP but willing to pay regular rate....as of now it looks as though I might have a chance with Coronodo Springs and/or perhaps Riverside. So, if I open my computer and make a booking, would it go through in time for me to drive over and check in?

Also....same holds true for other hotels. I would maybe book the hotel I'm supposed to be at, but don't want any conflicts with Sam's Club if it comes to me fighting them on this and it poses confusion.

Thanks for your thoughts.....

I have never used Sams Club for booking but I would have no doubt that it is legitimate. However, I suggest you make a refundable reservation on another website like hotels.com, booking.com or something similar.

I just booked a resort stay through Sam's also, for our upcoming trip the first week of April, and my confirmation states that due to varying agreements with different hotels/partners, my name may not show up in the hotel's reservation system until 7 days prior to arrival. For me, that will be Monday 3/28. Same might apply to yours?

When you book through a third-party site, sometimes everything isn't instantaneous,

By booking through a third-party you can save some money. The negative is that you may have to wait or have additional hoops to jump through if you want to change something or have an issue.

The best policy for travelers is to book directly from the hotel you are staying at, however, there can be cost savings going the third-party route that you have to balance.

You will often find little to no difference in the cost between booking at one of the giant sites and direct. Direct is better! Do it if you can.

In the end, I'm sure everything will be fine.
