Sam's Cash Back on Amex offer

*This is my first time poking around on the Budget Boards, so I'm not sure if anyone else has reported this deal*

But...I was just searching for the Undercover tourist offer on our Amex cards.

When I was checking my husband's Lowes Amex, I noticed an especially good offer.

20% Cash Back on a Sam's purchase of $100+

My Sam's usually carries the $150 pack of gift cards for approx $144. So I was thinking of buying Disney cards for spending money.

By my math (rounded #s), we can purchase (8) $150 gift cards for $1,152 - then get 20% statement credit of $230.
So that would be $1,200 in GC for right at $922.

Also my Sam's has select GC 30% off tomorrow (some sort of one day sale). I'm curious - going to check and see if the Disney ones are discounted, although I'm highly skeptical they will be.

Even if not...sounds like an amazing deal to me, so I thought I'd share.

Also, if anyone has seen and used this offer before, would love some confirmation that it worked and they saw their statement credit.

Yes it worked for me, fast statement credit. I bought $900 of Disney, some iTunes and Starbucks and had about $225 credit back. So awesome, covered my annual fee on that card and then some.

I've never seen an Amex offer that could be added though a link. If it could, why didn't you get the link from the other forum?

Sometimes you can add offers i believe they share on their twitter this is not one of them. You either got it on your card or not.

I don't know that there is a link. Just an offer on our amex. You could check your amex acct to see. We have an spg amex and Lowe's. For us, the offer was only on the Lowe's card.
