Sample sales a weight loss story

So i went to a sample sale today. Overall not great but good. The best part was grabbing an armful trying on to find they were all too big!:cool1: so went down. I have now officially gone from a size 20 a year ago to a 12! I have bought some other items in 12's but this was a first for this particular brand. It inspired me to hop on my eliptical when I got home!

I am almost 50 and wanted to tell those out there thinking they can't do it. If i can do it you can do it!
 
That is awesome, a big congratulations to you. I am in my mid 50's and going in the opposite direction so I appreciate what an accomplishment that is.
 

Congratulations! I can use all of the inspirational examples I can find. I am having trouble losing and am getting discouraged. I will draw on your success and keep at it.

I went down 2 pants sizes and I could of went down one more. I thought the pants industry changed their sizes on me. No way did I think I would ever wear a size 12.

I stopped eating processed wheat and other processed food. It is hard now in winter. I belonged to a vegetable share program and we are done now till June. Vegetables are so expensive, but so much better.

Concentrating on eating more vegetables and fruits really helped me lose weight.

I crave breads and sweets and eat very little meat but veggies are the key to my success and health.
 
My favorite winter vegetable by far is cauliflower. I love it cut tiny and then oven roasted. I can eat roasted cauliflower every day! Breakfast is an apple with 2TBS of peanut butter. I need the protein to get through work. I cut out bread/pasta/rice/potatoes. It was hard the first 2 weeks but once i detoxed off of them i really don't crave them at all. I feared Thanksgiving but I didn't even want the stuffing or potatoes. I decided to pick a life plan vs. A diet. It had to be something I could do for the rest of my life.

Oh and i am up early to work out. Never would have said that a year ago.
 
wow fabulous job op........ i just turned 50 and at 5'9" and at a bursting out of pants size 14.......... lost 9 lbs last year........ need to loose another 30..... i also eat clean non processed food most of the time...... but I GET zippo exercise.......... thanks for posting and inspiring me to start moving.......
