Wow, u guys are really helpful on this forum!

So now I know about the 90 day booking, can someone perhaps suggest a rough itinerary for my holiday at WDW?

We are staying at WL for 2 weeks and have the deluxe dining package so when it comes to booking later this year, where and when would you suggest we MUST go/eat?

Thanks!

wow, what a great vacation! that's plenty of time to see most everything. I would suggest doing character breakfasts like Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare, Donald's in AK, and Ohana's. Since you're on the deluxe plan, you could do a bunch of signature places like Artist's Point (service was wonderful and so was the food), Narcoossee's (nice view of the magic kingdom), Yahtsmans Steakhouse, Jiko, California Grill, etc. We were very impressed with the quality and service found mostly at the signature restaurants -well worth the two table services. I highly recommend eating at Tutto Italia in Epcot, they're like a 2TS but it's only one. Le Cellier is good for steaks in Epcot. Yak and Yeti is good in AK. We did deluxe dining for one week and it was plenty of food. Doing signature places was a nice break from eating 3 meals everyday. Check out the menu's in the dining section and see which places appeal most to you. Chef Mickey's has a wonderful dessert bar. Take lots of pictures! Have a blast!

Are you big breakfast eaters? Do you plan on doing 3 meals a day?

If you don't plan on 3 meals a day, I would do some of the 2TS meals.. Yachtman's Steakhouse, Narcoosses, the Castle.

Do you have children? Some of our favorite character meals are Akershus, Playhouse Disney at Hollywood N Vine. Also good for children are Coral Reef (fish tank) Ohana (kids can do the hula, coconut races, limbo) and Teppan Edo (watching chefs cook in front of you).

Other places are 50s Prime Time, LeCellier, Tutto Italia, Kona Cafe, Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Thanks guys!:thumbsup2

It's just me and my girlfriend that are going.

I am just so overwhelmed by the whole ADR thing and not knowing where to go etc! So I have noted those places down so far.

I am planning on phoning up to book exactly 90days before, so should I expect little problems in getting where I want or is it still pretty busy?

WHen is your trip?? That'll give a little bit more information for everyone to try to suggest ADRs since depending on when you are there, certain parks may be better than others.

Since you will be on the deluxe plan you can also book the Dinner Shows like Disney's Spirit of Aloha Show or Hoop-dee-doo Musical Revue. These have all you can drink so take advatage of that.

Well, the first thing I do when I'm planning my ADRs is jot down all the restaurants we're interested in eating at.

The second thing I do is look at the park hours for the dates of my trip. You're way ahead of time now, so you can use the hours of September 2008 as a guide. The nice thing about about the 90 day ADR window is that you'll have your park hours by then to firm things up.

The third thing I do is figure out what parks we'll do on which days, then I base my ADRs on where we'll be.

Even if you have park hopping tickets, it's difficult and time-consuming to go running around different areas of WDW just to get to your ADRs. Schedule them where you expect to be, and you'll be fine.

Here are some suggestions---although I've got to say, you'd be best looking at the menus on allearsnet.com and figuring out which places suit your tastes before thinking about making any decisions.

I also haven't put these in any order because 14 days is way too much to plan at this out. Instead, I've just made days based on how much time I would spend at each place and where I'd like to eat, in no particular order. :thumbsup2

You will have 78 meal credits total. (39 per person, plus 26 snack credits per person)

Arrival Day - depending on what time you get in, stay at your resort for the day, enjoy the pool and stuff. Eat a CS lunch at the Roaring Fork (1 pt) and a TS dinner at Artist Point (2 pts)

MK (3 days) - 9 points
Day 1 - TS breakfast at Crystal Palace (1 pt), TS dinner at California Grill (2 pts)
Day 2 - Breakfast at Main Street Bakery (snack credit), CS lunch at Cosmic Ray's (1 pt), TS dinner at Narcoosee's or Citrico's (2 pts)

DTD/OTHER (2 days) - 6 points
Day 1 - TS breakfast at Kona Cafe in Poly (1 pt), Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Poly (2 pts)
Day 2 - CS lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express (1 pt), TS dinner at Whispering Canyon (1 pt)

Departure Day - depending on what time you are leaving, have breakfast at the Whispering Canyon (1 pt) and lunch at a CS in MK (1 pt)

This brings you to 39 meal credits per person. If you do less signature dining, you will obviously have more credits to use...but you're on the DDDP for a reason---enjoy and don't forget to budget for tips!!

With that kind of time, you can eat nearly at every restaurant. I am envious! We enjoy Le Cellier, Tokyo Dining, Boma or Jiko, Cape May Character Breakfast, Ohana dinner, and Biergarten anytime. I agree you should take advantage of the signature meals like Narcoosses and Artist's Point (not that I have been there!). I haven't been disappointed at any of the table service meals in WDW. I would book at the 90 day window - you will get what you want.
