Is there any rooms in the Samoa building facing the volcano pool that you also get a partial view of the lagoon?
I have looked on Tikimans site and it only has pictures of the 1st floor view which the lagoon is obsturcted by plants.
We are staying garden view this time and I am trying to find a garden view that is partically a lagoon view. Any help would be great.
Thanks
SHaron

I really need to fix my timer v:rolleyes:

Samoa has pool view on both sides. On one side is the volcano pool, the other side has a view of the "quiet" pool changing rooms and pool (closer to GCH). IF you are on the volcano side of that building, you will be able to see the lagoon--only the GF portion of it--no castle in the picture. Hawaii (concierge) will block your view of anything more than the boat dock, Marina area, and GF. The first floor is patio view and there is little vegetation to directly block your view. There is a bit of vegetation around the pool that might block your view--can't be certain here since I've not stayed in Samoa and had the experience.

Samoa is a smoking building--if this isn't a problem for you--then Samoa is a nice choice because it's near both pools, the GCH, and beach. The views, for GV are nice too. :D

Oh yes! We stayed in Samoa, 3604, and had a great view of the volcano pool, GF, and lagoon. If we stretched a little we could even see the castle. It was beautiful...especially for a garden view room!

Which way do the room numbers run in this building? Are the lower # rms at the beach end or the GCH end?
Thanks
Sharon

We were the 4th room in from the GCH end, so I believe they must start there. We were on the 3rd floor too.
We had requested Fiji, but upon arrival, found that building was closed. When we were first assigned Samoa, I was disappointed because it was smoking and smell of smoke(especially stale smoke, like what would be in the room) really bothers me. I was ready to put up a stink but figured Id see if it was really bad first. As soon as I saw the view I forgot all about the smoking issue, LOL! Boy was I glad I didnt complain. But in all honesty, we never once saw an ashtray, or had any smell of smoke in the room or in the hallway. We even had a fridge in the room, free of charge(we never requested it).

CamColt,
Thank you for your information. It is good to know that the rooms there do not smell of smoke. I want to request it because I am a smoker and the map on tikimans site looked like you might have a good view from the building. I am the only one in my party that smokes and plan to be spending a lot of time on the balcony. Maybe I will also request a third fl room that way my smoke won't bother anyone else on the outside of the building/or the fl above me as well. You have been very informative ! Thanks
Sharon

3rd floor, 4th from the GCH in Samoa would be 3604. Does that sound right CamColt?

Aloha, Steve! :D
Yep, thanks for confirming. When I posted the number I did so with hesitation, because I wasnt 100% sure. Now I am, thanks to you.

I am an idiot. I did not even see the post with the room number. I guess I skipped over it. I guess I need to slow down and read them better.

Any idiot who puts together a website like you have and loves the Poly as much as you do, is ok by me. ;)
No seriously, like I said I was pretty sure, but not totally sure(I couldnt find it in writing) so Im glad you confirmed it for me. Id hate to be giving out false info. :D

I was glad I had something to add to the discussion. It is getting that there are so many who give good info in here that I will need to find a new place to post. By the time I get in here there are plenty of answers to the questions and I don’t like to repeat the same answers.

Aloha

Steve
