Hey Guys!

I am back!!!... I recently purchased ownwership in the DVC and had a terrible experiance so we are selling it back to Disney.

I must admit, I am pretty thrilled as I can do AKL again next year instead of SSR!!!..

Here is my problem....we do 2 weeks and I can only book 10 days at a time....well this always ends up being a problem as we have to move our room in the middle of the vaca....there has got to be a way to book the whole 2 weeks on one reservation!

any suggestions?!

Thanks in advance!

Jennifer

we did 16 nights last year and had two 8 day reservations. I think when the TA booked them they were linked somehow but maye they weren't. When we got to check in i told them i had continuing reservations and they found a room we could stay in for the whole time. Half way through the holiday we did have to go down and check in-check out and got new room keys, but it took all of 10 mins. The only thing would be if you had your park tickets on your room keys you would have to keep the first set of room keys for park entry. I think it causes more problems again though if you wanted to add dining plan.

The 10 day in a row rule is only in effect for packages or discounted rooms. If you are booking a rack rate room (non-package) you can indeed book for the entire time you will be there all on one reservation without having to check out and back in.
Sorry that DVC didn't work out for you.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but why didn't you like DVC (I'm currently looking into it)?

The OP will probably return and answer herself, but it looks like there was some frustration over signing the contract to purchase right before a new incentive came out (15% off w/referral). The majority of DVC owners are very happy with their purchase (myself included) but situations like this do come up from time to time.

I don't know if it would help but maybe if you called and booked with them instead of the internet they could do a longer stay? We are looking to stay 11 nights and are having a similar problem. Although for one night I will probably just book a one night rack rate or something.

For 8 years we have had multi-reservations at the same resort. Usually 7 nights, then 7 nights, then 1 night. As a CM you are not allowed a reservation more than 7 nights. since we go for 2+ weeks every spring, we have always had to book 2-3 reservations for May. Of course, that always meant 2-3 desposits. We have NEVER had to change rooms and we do this 4 to 5 trips a year (only in May do we stay 2 weeks, the other trips are generally 8 to 9 nights). I'm sure there is always a possibility of changing rooms (as we have been told), but I found all of the resorts from the values to the deluxes are extremely accommodating in making sure you stay put. Whenever we check in, we always remind the CM that we have "continuing reservations" and they always make sure the room will accommodate us for our entire stay.
