same day reservation for 1 night at a value

Hi,

I posted this under another thread but was afraid it would be buried.

We might change our driving plans and may need 1 night (to be reserved at the very last minute) at a value resort next weekend. Do you think there'd be any rooms available then? If so, could we get AAA rate? If we need the room, we'd call the same day we'd arrive to reserve it.

I would give a little call and just ask how booked they are. It never hurts to ask. And the worst case scenario would be that you have to stay off site for the night. I don't see you having a problem getting a room for one night. Although my trip isn't for 60 days I called yesterday to add another night on to our stay and had no problem.

We usually drive down halfway the day before our vacation. Sometimes we are able to sneak out a little early and make it all the way to Disney. We have called CRO on our drive down from Atlanta before and got a reservation same day on several occassions.
