We are doing a vow renewal at Disney's Wedding Pavilion on Feb. 7th 2012. We will be staying at the Beach Club Resort. Just wondered if anyone had suggestions/opinions/reviews of Perriwig's Salon at the Yacht and Beach Club or the Spa at the Swan/Dolphin or Saratoga Springs? I'd like to take my mom with me and get our hair done and a little pampering before the ceremony.

Thanks!

I had my nails done there before our wedding. They were nice and did a good job, but the facilities struck me a small, limited, and slightly shabby. I considered having my hair done by Perriwig's for our anniversary party at Hollywood Studios, but it was so expensive that I just paid a few extra bucks to hire my wedding cosmetologist, Patricia LeJeune, to do my hair and makeup right in our room.

Maybe someone who's had their hair done there recently will come along and offer their perspective. :thumbsup2

I hadn't thought of having someone come right to the room. Did that work well and were you happy with your hair and makeup?

Yes! It was soooo convenient not to have to leave the room. Plus, we had an early ceremony, so I had to start getting ready at 4:30am!

I looked at all the popular choices for in-room hair and makeup but didn't find any whose style matched mine, so I found Patricia through the Knot's Central Florida Boards. She is very sweet and worked really hard to accommodate my likes and dislikes.

We did a trial for my engagement portraits that took a bit longer than normal because she worked with me to change what I wasn't liking about the direction things were going. Then, on the wedding day, she knew exactly what I wanted (even though I changed it a bit in the interim).

I had her do airbrush makeup, which I loved because it looked natural and lasted all day. I just wish I'd thought to have her do false eyelashes too, although mine looked pretty dang long considering. :rotfl:

Another shout out for Patricia. I loved both her and her work!!
