Hey hey DLP gurus :worship:

We are going to DLP in early November with our friends :yay: and we would like to take them into Salon Mickey with us.

I am a shareholder and browsing the t&c's see that I may be accompanied by 3 guests. Does anyone know if children under 3 are counted in this number? I hope not as there will be 4 adults (2 friends, DW and myself), and 2 two year olds (DD and friends DS), under 3s seem to be exempt from most other restrictions (don't need to buy tickets etc.) so I hope we will all be allowed into Salon Mickey together.

Does anyone know if we are likely to get in?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Mark

Hi, I would have thought that they are counted. As Salon Mickey is only small, they are really limited on the number of people that they can let in at once. I would say that the chances of you all getting in would depend on how busy they are at the time.

I imagine you should be ok. It will depend on how busy SM is though. When are you off?

We are going 3rd November for 3 nights. It's the week between Halloween ending and Christmas starting. We went the same time in 2009 and the parks were really quiet, so I wouldn't imagine Salon Mickey would be too busy.

Is there generally a quieter time to go into SM?

There is no general quieter time. Its open 9-12. In my experience closer to 12 they have run out of pastries or there isn't a selection but its something for nothing so can't complain.

You're allowed yourself plus 4 family members, or plus 3 friends.

We went in August and knocked knowing that there was a chance we wouldn't get in as we were three adults and three kids (ages 9, 3 and 3). The CM who answered was very nice but said that he was making an exception and we were very lucky because there was hardly anyone there. We did say that we knew we were one over and that the twins could sit on laps so wouldn't be taking up any of the very few chairs in there.

There's never any harm in trying, but I'd let your friends know the situation first to avoid potential disappointment.

Children of any age are usually counted at Salon Mickey, because its a very small venue and space is at a premium there.

Also, hopefully your first couple of days will be nice and quiet OP :), because 5th and 6th November is press event weekend for the arrival of the Christmas season, and going on previous experiences of DISers on press weekends, the main park is likely to be very busy indeed on those dates.

As new shareholders, we visited for the 1st time in July a couple of times. Family of 6, no questions asked, and the staff were very courteous & friendly :thumbsup2
