Oh, I know. When I see one whipped out (with a baby attached to it, lol) I get uncomfortable and look away as well.

I'm just saying, it's our fault we see it like that. Not directly US, but our society as a whole and the people who shaped it.

Like you said before, America is really conservative & private. The first two things that come to mind is gays and nude/topless beaches. In many many other countries those things are 100% perfectly normal.

The US is (sort of) ahead in many things like technology and science, but we're way behind in things like social equality.

Oh, and fashion. I see my cousins in Spain wearing these really cool things and I'm like "Dang! We won't get those for another year or two!".

But as for the breast feeding in public, whenever a woman who is breastfeeding in public gets looked down on or whispered about or ANYTHING by other people around i get SO mad!
is she supposed to let her child go hungry because she is in public?

I was at WDW a couple years ago and say a woman sitting on a bench (that was even out of the way) breastfeeding her small baby. People would walk buy and give her dirty looks, and then some lady came and said 'This is not pornworld. Keep those things in your shirt, there are children around!'

Not surprisingly the woman started SOBBING and embarrassment was radiating off her. It was so sad. What was she gonna do? Feed the child in a bathroom? No. Ew.

Makes me so mad when people do that kind of crap.

I know! I wanted to go give this poor woman a big hug. But instead I just told her that she was doing absolutely nothing to be embarrassed of, she was just feeding her baby.
