Salem Witch Trials

does anyone know about the salem witch trials. my partner and I have no idea what it is. please help

the salem witch trials were the trials giving to people that lived in Salem, MA because people thought or had proof that a certain person was practicing things that witches do, like putting curses on people, etc. It was when a lot of people were getting accused of being a witch also by doing various things like voodoo, etc.

we're reading The Cruible right now in english.. I love this part of history (well, i love history in general, but i love parts of it more...) It's very interesting to learn about what the trials were about and everything...

And what do u think my favorite halloween movie is? lol HOCUS POCUS!

we just read "the crucible" in english and watched the movie. we also studied it in history. anyway, the salem witch trials were started with accusations by a group of young girls in Salem. It escalated as more and more people made charges against others, including the wife of the governor. 20 people were executed and 100s more were in jails by the time the governor halted the trials and released the imprisoned. you could probably do a google search for more info.

20 people were killed 19 hung and 1 burned alive we had to watch a movie and they mentioned that. That would suck if you were the person who was burned alive.
