I looked to see if this has already been posted here, and didn't find anything, so here goes...

...Entertainment Books are $7.99 right now if you purchase them on their website! The OC Entertainment Book has deals for Hojo's (I'm sure everyone on Disboards already knows that, though ) and a few of the Best Western motels near the Park, along with discounts on dining & other attractions in the area. You can also buy an Entertainment Book for where you live, and the card will still be useable for the Hojo's discount. :thumbsup2 Here's a link to the Entertainment Book website: http://www.entertainment.com/discount/home.shtml

(I'm in no way affiliated with the Entertainment Book, Hojo's, Best Western, or anywhere/anything else pertaining to the discounts; I just want to share as I've not seen this posted yet :cool2:)

Thanks! I'd like to add that everything in the Entertainment 2010 book (and the provided card) expires on November 1, 2010. I have this book and the expiry date is printed on the card, as well as the book coupons.

If HOJO honors expired cards, that would be good to know. :) We're staying there in mid-October and when we did the entertainment rate reservations, we were told to present the entertainment card at check-in. In-house reservations didn't need it over the phone. So, if you aren't sure if you can get the rate, make the reservation first and then order the book.

You're very welcome; I've been pointed towards so many good deals here that I'm glad to be able to pass along any deals that I find!

Kittyskyfish: thanks for posting about the expiry date; I totally forgot to post that in my hurry to share the sale . I don't know if Hojo's honors expired cards...I've only been asked to show my card once out of the several times I've stayed there (and it was a card that still had a few months left on it), but I wouldn't recommend to anyone that they check in with an expired card. Maybe someone from Hojo's will see this thread & be able to clarify?

When do they print the 'new' book for next year?

im from Australia & wanting to know if we could purchase this Entertainment book or do you have to be a US resident?
As we are heading back to DL May 2011 :banana::cool1:

thanks in advance.

Jen, I did ya one good! I just called Entertainment Publications and they DO sell and ship the books to Australia! There is a $17.99 shipping rate and you would have to order over the phone because the payment fields online don't accommodate addresses outside the US/Canada. The phone number to call is: 1-888-231-7283.

I didn't get an answer to that (sorry!) but their website should be hawking the 2011 book in October, if not earlier. ALL 2010 Entertainment books expire 11/1/2010 so they have to have something to sell! Well, that's my logic, anyhow. ;)

Spacemermaid, I also wonder if the HOJO accepts Entertainment's Online Membership? It's a book-less membership where members can print coupons from all Entertainment books. That would be another question for HOJO's In house reservations. :)

Yikes good to know about the expiration of 11/1/2010 since my reservations are 11/17! Guess I'll be buying (or borrowing!) an entertainment card for my trip. Fingers crossed one of my friends gets a new one.

OT question- we also booked the HOJO in October with the ent. rate. I called them on the phone to make the reservation and they gave me a confirmation number, but no total or anything. I thought they might send us something in the mail, but nothing yet.

Is this usually how it works? I am going to call back and ask for a total price if we don't get something in the mail.

DSNY4ever, this is our experience too. On 7/2, we booked and received a price quote and a reservation number but no follow-up email. I don't know if this is to be expected, though. :confused3

darph nader: IIRC, the new books usually go on sale in September.

Kittyskyfish: I don't know if Hojo's honors the Entertainment online subscription, as I've always just purchased the book/card. Also, I've never received an email from Hojo's when I've made reservations, either, so I'm sure everything will be ok.

DSNY4ever: that's been my experience, too...a confirmation number, but no total given over the phone. I've never had any problems with the reservations once I get to Hojo's to check in, though...the Entertainment discount has always been reflected on the invoice upon arrival. :thumbsup2

Okay thanks guys. I feel more comfortable knowing that is their "norm."

I can't wait!! Can October come faster now?
