I need a really yummy salad dressing suggestion! That is one thing for Atkins I will say I would like again - good rich creamy Ranch dressing! What brand do you think is the best? or do you make your own?

I would love a good ranch, but I like other kinds too. Not a big Italian fan I must say.

We have a homemade french dressing that we use sweentener that's pretty good - if I posted in the WW thread could someone who is a member plug the recipe in the WW website and see what the point value is?

Also, the one time I tried Atkins (yes, I've tried it all too) I loved that I could eat real mayo!!! I miss mayo!!!! Even just a little!!! Any favorite brands for fat-free mayo (just the sound of it :()

I like Ranch (real Ranch not that lite or fat-free stuff) and I miss it sometimes as well so I just occassionally bite the bullet and have it with my salad and just count the points. Most of the time I am happy with Zesty Italian dressing as a substitute. I don't like the no-fat dressings so even my Italian costs me 2 pts/serving but I can live with that.

As for mayo well I also can't stand the non-fat stuff but Miracle Whip light is pretty good.

Have you tried the Wishbone "Just2Good" brand of salad dressings? I absolutely LOVE the Blue Cheese and DH likes the Honey Dijon. Each of them is only ONE measly point for a 2T serving!!

Hellman's also has a mayonnaise out under the "Just2Good" label, which is one point per tablespoon. It has replaced Hellman's fat-free mayonnaise. We used to use Hellman's low-fat mayo, but I am slowly starting to slip this new one in, instead.

Hope this helps!

I hesitate to post this 'cuz it's not really a "dressing" and I know that's what you're looking for, but have you ever tried fresh-squeezed lemon on a salad instead of dressing? I'm not a dressing person at all and always have to have lemon on my salad. I think it's so wonderful and best of all, 0 points! Just a thought .... :)

I like Kraft lite done right, not sure of the WW points, but it is lower in fat and not too high in carbs.

I think most of the Kraft Light Done Right dressings are good. I have found that low-fat ranch is much tastier than fat free ranch, IMO. I really LOVE the fat free Kraft Catalina dressing (it's a lot like French dressing). Yum! As far as mayo goes, I love Miracle Whip light.

Another vote for the Kraft Light Done Right dressings. DH loves the Ranch and I love the Three Cheese Ranch. I also love the Blue Cheese, but haven't been able to find it in the Light Done Right section for the last few months. :( RATS! ;)

I was raised on Miracle Whip regular, so we get Miracle Whip light now. A little goes a long way! ;)

The only brand of ff ranch that I like is Marzetti's. It is really good. ANd I use kraft light mayonaise. It is 1 point per serving and is really good!!!! Also if you can find a brand called Maple grove or is it Maple Valley Grove anyway they have WONDERFUL FF dressings such as poppyseed, raspberry walnut vinagratte and a really good balsamic vinegar one!!! They are my favorite!!

You guys are great you know everything, I can't wait to try some of the brands y'all are suggesting. The ff ranch at work is just plain nasty. I use 1 oz. of the regular ranch and that works for me, I also squeeze a pepperoncini on top of my salad I think that helps me use less dressing. I also use that tip of dipping my fork in the dressing 1st (a tip I learned on this board) before that I was using 3-4 T of dressing  Thanks for all the great suggestions.

If you do the Marzettis ff ranch, make sure it is from the product section...atleast that is where my Kroger's keeps it since it has to be refridgerated. I do like this one also, but lately have done the Kraft lite done right as I mentioned above.

thanks for all your suggestions! I have wrote each and every one down and will keep that list with my coupons! I'm shopping today so we'll see what I can get -- too many to choose from!

thanks again:)

There is also a marzetti's ff ranch in bottles with the regular salad dressing!! That is the one I got. I also have the ff sweet and sour by Them to try!!

If you like a vinaigrette-type dressing, try the Nakano flavored rice vinegars. They are good enough to use without any oil and are not too "puckery". ;) I use one of those pumps to spray a little bit of olive oil on my salad, toss it a bit, then add the rice vinegar. Really good!

They also have a flavored red wine vinegar that's great, but it seems to be getting more difficult to find around here. :(

I love Japanese rice vinegar, I'll have to try the spray olive oil tip. Where did you get the spray bottle?
