Hi to all the Jamborinis and Kidanites!!

I've missed you all.
There is no way I'm going to be able to catch up on all the pages I've missed!
Brandi, Oh my goodness - that does sound painful.

I'm glad you can still make your big trip.
Diana, good to see you back here with us..... where you belong!
Still no Kimmar?

I hope she's back soon.
We met up with Laura & Marco yesterday afternoon!

What an amazing couple.

They are adorable!

We spent a couple hours with them. (We have pictures, but that will take a day or 2.) They gave Tori a beautiful necklace from Italy and a calendar from their city, Milano. So sweet of them!
We did the culinary tour together and it had changed since the last time I did it. We started in Boma, and I was a little perplexed that the lovely CM was telling us about the wonderful foods, which weren't out yet

- so she was pointing to the little signs on top of the pods! But by the time we got to the soup pod, the carrot ginger soup was ready for sampling!

AND, we did each get a Zebra Dome!
After Boma, we were escorted to Jiko where we were served the breads and dips. Although we didn't get to speak with a Jiko or Boma chef, it was the best culinary tour I've been on!!
(I guess this was my 4th or 5th!!)
Our trip was amazing, but we will NEVER, EVER (and I mean it!!!) go again in July or August!!! The heat and humidity were AWFUL.

(of course now that we're home, the heat and humidity aren't much better in Atlanta!!!

)
Some sad news (which I haven't seen posted): some of you may remember the ankole cattle with the permanently tilted head (the result of an ear infection). Tori looked for him and after several days of not seeing him, we asked a CM out on Arusha rock. This CM didn't know when exactly, but "Bubba" had passed away either late last year or very early in 2011.

This CM arrived in February and Bubba was already gone. She said many, many guests ask about him.
Pictures soon, I promise.
I'm going over to the Meet thread now...........
