Sailing the Ocean Blue...October 6, 2012 Eastern Fantasy

One week from today, we will also be at MK, celebrating a birthday at MNSSHP. Many of you will be gathering at Fishlips, getting warmed up for all the fun to come. Wherever you may be next Friday night, here's wishing you all safe travels to the ship. :boat:

At this time next Friday, I will be thinking about going to bed at the MCO HYatt, but may be to excited to:hyper:

So how do you know when your room is ready? Are you locked out until after its cleaned? Are your bags put inside your room or left outside? Gotta love the newbies... Julie

This time one week from now I will be in Cocoa Beach at the Four Points by Sheraton thinking about heading to bed but much too excited to sleep!!! Last Friday of work before vacation and just 5 more work days after today (six really since I've barely started work)

If you mean the ship, they will generally open the room corridors between 1 & 1:30. If you are not in your room when your luggage is delivered, they will leave it in your room. If you are on a B2B like Fºoºz, you are allowed to go back to your room @ 11:30. At the resorts, they will text or call you when you room is ready.

Thanks-- yes I meant the ship.. thanks for the info...

***REMINDER*** I will have a dry erase board on my door for any stateroom changes as well for any meets or notes. My stateroom number is 6508.

Hope your ankle is better...

TinkLoverSam's ankle is improving... And to test that theory we're going to take it for a five kilometer walk on Sunday morning for a breast cancer walk

Is there a formal night AND a semi-formal night on this cruise? I'm trying to scale back on the packing & might have to relegate one sport coat for my DH to cover all dress-up nights including Palo. And he might have to carry THAT on the plane! We're old, so no one will be looking at us anyway:laughing:

Yes, there is both a formal and semi-formal night. I am taking a suit and will wear it both nights. It's no big deal. I used to do the tux thing, but it's more trouble than it's worth to me. If you enjoy doing formal, you can rent one from Cruiseline Formals and they will deliver to the ship and pick up. Less weight and more room in your luggage.

So how much does everyone dress up on pirate night? I need to pack this week 1 suitcase down 7 to go! Oh back packs too... I wish we didn't need all our summer clothes now, but it's still 100* here! Eeeeeeeek! Can't wait!

Thanks, BigRed. The last cruise we were on, my DH was the only one in a suit. The other men at the table opted not to wear coats or ties. So I thought I would hit the In-Between Button this time :)

Punkin, we are doing jeans, bandanas, & pirate shirts for Pirate Night. Not the ruffled white Cap'n Jack Sparrow shirts- just tee shirts. But we ARE dressing up the baby! That will make it really fun for us.

Shulie, will you be posting meets here as well as on TaTa's door?
