So my Mother's Day was going well, until my DSis called me and told me our flights for October had changed...going down no big deal, but they changed our flight coming home to 10 a.m. When she called me I was not home and did not have easy access to deal with it. Thank god she got our flights changed without any additional charge to an Airport closer to where we live and with a 12:30 return flight

I am so glad that my DSis was right on top of it and got everything worked out for the both of us She rocks, she rocks a lot She is my hero

How many of us are first time ever cruisers?

It will be first cruise for our two DD's and DMIL who have never cruised before. Myself,DH, DS, DM and DF have cruised DCL twice before

When you log in on your iPhone click on User CP and go to your subscriptions and it will list our thread, maybe that will make it a little easier to get to the thread. Cannot wait to meet you and your family

Hope all you DISMums had a lovely mother's day, in the UK Mother's Day falls in March
Another week closer for our cruise We had some fun this weekend watching the fantasy sail away from port. DM and DF are on vacation to WDW just now and had a trip to port canaveral over the weekend. They watched from Fishlips and we joined them on skype as the fantasy sailed by very exciting to see from a different angle than we normally watch.

I'm starting to get really excited now about the cruise. I guess b/c I have time to since school will be out next week. Started thinking about what we are going to do at the ports and what I am going to be shopping for. I pretty much have my FE's figured out. I've just got to get the extra money to buy the materials and stuff and get my FE. Does anyone have a pandora or chamilia bracelet? My dd16 has a pandora. I've never really wanted one until I saw the disney charms for the chamilia. Now I want one. Does anyone know the difference? Is pandora better quality since it is more popular? Never heard of Chamilia until the disney charms.

I really hope this thread does not die out....lately is has been busy, but before that it was pretty much dead. The whole reason to come to the dis was to meet and talk to people in this fashion. I have seen other threads which went the FB way and the thread totally died.

Just caught up on what's being going on since I was last here - you're doing a great job Beth so please keep it up ... not much of a FB fan so rely on DIS for my Disney news ...

Just have been so busy these past two months ...

Went to Calgary Comic Con (i.e. the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo) the last weekend of April wave: Hey Disney Alli, I see you're from Calgary!) ... a lot of fun meeting stars, getting autographs and photo-ops from individuals such as ...

• the original Batman - Adam West
• David Prowse - Darth Vader
• STAN LEE of Marvel Comics fame and the co-creator behind Spiderman, Iron Man, X-Men, The Hulk, Fantastic Four and so forth
• the entire original cast of Star Trek The Next Generation as this year is the 25th Anniversary of STNG - this was quite a coup for Calgary as this is the first time ever the original cast has been together on stage - I even got a photo op with them ... not inexpensive though at $500+ ... yes, I know I am
• Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica (Katee Sackhoff)
• Claire from Heroes (Hayden P)
• "Walter" and "Astrid" from Fringe
• Colonel Carter (Amanda Tapping) from Stargate: SG-1

... other attendees included the Weasley twins from Harry Potter, Adam Baldwin, "Q" from STNG, Freddy Kruger (Robert Englund), Richard Hatch from the original BSG ... and a LOT more ... plus a large number of other media guests including Jim Cummings who is the current voice behind Winnie the Pooh and Tigger and many other Disney characters - unfortunately I missed attending his panel ...

Also tied up with planning our trip to British Columbia in the summer ... and birthdayS this month and last incl my DW's ... and still waiting for the special offers to come out for DL in the fall ...

However, still managed to squeeze in some planning for WDW and our B2B cruises aboard the Fantasy ... finalized our flights, booked hotel stays for our layovers for our flights to and from Orlando as DW cannot travel for long long periods, added a night at the Art of Animation before our week stay at POR b4 the cruises (sorry BigRed1 - your planned meeting at Fishlips sounds exciting), booked all our Table Service Meals-Dining reservations that comes with the Free Dining Plan portion of our POR stay, booked the Pirates and Pals Fireworks cruise and pre-purchased tickets for MNSSHP at MK, booked all our car rentals while we are in Orlando pre and post cruise (although I still may go the limo route for after the cruises) ... AND after the cruises, booked 4 nights at a resort so we could do Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure ...

Would love to book some things for our cruises but as a 1st time DISNEY cruiser, my time-frame is still a bit a ways away ... and still have to work on our FE, the gifts and ... now that I remember, catch up on the updated FE lists ...

It's a good things I still have some months to do all of this ...

MickeyMinnieMelanie ... I believe the Chamilia charms can fit on the Pandora bracelets ... my DW is getting interested in that so that is also something we may do on the cruise ...

Love the planning ... not the expense of it though ... but you only live once ... and it is our 20th Anniversary ... and who can't get excited about going to Disney!

In reference to Pandora and Chamilia. Chamilia is the only one that has Disney beads but I had a little trouble using them on a Pandora braclet. I got the 'Dreams really do come true' Chamilia bead for my two daughers to give to them on the Disney Alaska cruise last year and one of them fit and the other didn't. Chamilia beads are not consistant. Was in Disney a few months later and I stopped in one of the stores and asked if they had them and the first one they took out didn't fit and the clerk said 'Oh well' but another clerk came over and took each one out the their package and tried it until she found one that fit. You may be thinking what did I do with the original one that didn't fit my daughter's braclet. It fit mine so I kept it
