Hey everybody!
We will be sailing out of NY in October and was wondering if anyone who has done this cruise can tell me what type of weather to expect
I know it will be cool while in NY but what about the sea days before getting to Castaway
TIA

The weather in Florida that time of year is still warm.... 80's. I would say except for your first and last day dress from summer.

October is still nice in NY. It does cool off some at night and a light jacket or sweatshirt would feel good to have handy at night.

Yep. This^^ exactly.

What cruise line are sailing on? Are you departing from NJ piers or west side of Manhattan? If Manhattan, get ready for some stunning views of city skyline on port side of ship. Then move to starboard for Statue of Liberty. Then go to the highest point on the ship you can when sailing under Verrazano Bridge. It will feel like you can reach up and touch it.

We will be sailing on Disney. I believe they depart from Manhattan. Thanks foe the info we've never sailed out of NY and we are super excited!

It will be in the 80's in Florida during the day (taking into account you have a WDW day?) and a bit higher in the Bahamas in October. Heck, we were in the 80's on Christmas day last year. :)

Dress warm the first couple of days, especially for on deck events at night and in the MDR's but by the time you hit off the coast of the Carolinas and GA, you will be all toasty. Still would want light jackets or sweaters for evening time as it can get cooler then, but definitely some great weather.

As mentioned October could be 65 and sunny or 30 and windy....all depends and no way to predict. But I will say, sailing down the Hudson and seeing the NYC skyline from the ship is a beautiful thing.

Enjoy your cruise.

October is not always nice. You can have an Indian summer day or blustery and rainy. As your cruise gets closer you will have to look at the weather. I plan on jeans for my first and last then shorts and/or bathing suit the rest of the time.
