I am sandwiched between the last Halloween cruise and the first Christmas cruise. Will I see the ending or beginning of the decorations? Do they have a "soft opening" or is everything done during the time the last group leaves and the new cruisers come aboard?

Are you on the 11/4 sailing of the Dream? I'll be on that one. It's the one right inbetween the Halloween & Christmas cruises. I'm actually kind of happy about it. November 4th is too early to start thinking about Christmas! That being said, I'll be at the first Very Merry Christmas Party the day we get back. November 7th is a whole different story.

If it is a sailing directly prior to the start of a Christmas sailing, you will likely see the assembly of the gingerbread house. This happened on last years East Bound Panama Canal. The ship smelled like gingerbread for like 2 days.

I am on the 11/5 sailing of the Fantasy - will it not be decorated for Christmas?
I thought I read somewhere that is when they start decorating? :confused3
I would actually prefer it not be but if it is - it is.

We were on that exact sailing a few years back. Our sail date was 11/1 and I thought for sure I would see some left over Halloween decorations. But there was nothing in site. When we were getting off the boat they had started putting together a ginger bread house of Santa's workshop, I could not tell because it was just plywood and I only saw that when we were leaving the lobby.

So my guess would be you wont see anything unfortunately.
