On Sail Away day, At what time can you check in at the port and how early can you board the ship? I reccently saw something that said 12:30 to board the ship but on here I thought I saw something earlier than that. Also can you get in any of the pools as soon as you board the ship or can you only get in the Mickey Pool as soon as you board? TIA

Becky

We were let on at 12:30 as well. You can get in line before that. Really not worth standing there for an hour and half. Next time I'll arrive by noon. I believe the Mickey pool was the only pool open by 1:00 when we were on. They pretty much herd you into PC.
I would wait next time, go to my cabin, unpack then go to the buffet after that. the Mickey pool was so packed that even my son wanted no part of it.

On our cruise the beginnng of January, we arrived at the terminal about 10:15am after being dropped off by the Budget shuttle, we went right inside, and got inline to be checked in. We were the third family to board the ship, that was about 11:45am.

We were on the September 11, 2004 Magic. We arrived via the Avis shuttle about 10:00. The terminal wasn't open yet so they dropped us off at the tent in the parking lot. Within a few minutes a port baggage handler arrived, gave us instructions about our bags and we walked over to the terminal. Our IDs were checked ans we went in and got in line. Because my Mom has a heart condition and can't stand for long periods we got a wheelchair from the desk and she sat in that. They opened the check in about 11:00.
Because it was our first trip we enjoyed seeing the terminal, taking pictures and relaxing.
We were given priority boarding because Mom was in the wheelchair. We went right to Parrot Cay for a lovely lunch. I ducked out for a few minutes to make our Palo ressies. Then we went and explored the ship for awhile. At 1:30 or so we went to our cabin and relaxed, unpacked our carry ons etc. My mother fell in love with the verandah and I almost couldn't get her off it!
Our next cruise is January, 2006 and we plan to do the same routine. It was great! :cool1:

As I recall in November the Goofy pool was open when we boarded. It is covered for the sail away party at 4:30pm
