Sail away celebration and Pirate party

Does anyone have any really cool ideas for the sail away party??? I am also looking for some fun things for the Pirate party. Do a lot of people dress up???

The pirate party will also be the night of the wedding. Is it fun or is it something we should just skip???

I am assuming you are on one of the cruises. The sail away party is up on deck, it's loud and packed, so I don't think it matters what you are wearing...the thing to do is if you are with a group is to stay together as you get on deck or you will never find one another. The pirate party was alot of fun, and there were lots of people dressed up. That was held on the St. Thomas day for us, and I remember they couldn't book our VR that day because it was a port day...it would have been our actual anniversary so it would have been nice...but I digress...I think, because it is late enough you could go after Palo, and depending upon how many people you have with you, you could really woop it up....and to have some pictures of you in your dress with fireworks above...now that would be cool.

Its actually just going to be my fiance and I. However, I like the idea of getting pictures in my dress with the fireworks above. That would be cool!!!

You do get a photographer for the ceremony, you should see if they would be willing to come out for just one more shot that night. We had a great girl, and she probably would have done something like that for us if we asked...they are running around that night anyway taking pictures of everyone to put in shutters, so anything is possible. Have a great time, it was the best....see my TR....

Kendra, We didn't do anything for the sail away party but hang out with a bunch of Dis'ers but that was a bunch of fun. Check the cruise board for who is going on the trip with you. We made lifelong friends on our honeymoon cruise. We all brought bubbles which was a big hit. For the Pirate party, I got a pirate accessory set from walmart on sale for $2 after halloween for the hubbie and he wore a t-shirt that he got in hell on grand cayman. I have a fun outfit that I bought for halloween many moons ago that was a wench outfit. That was alot of fun and really got us in the spirit to party.
