SAHM's when do you get dressed

I am usually showered and dressed by 8am. I have a wonderful DH who is an early riser so he takes the baby downstairs and plays with him while I get to take a shower and get ready before he goes to work. It is their quiet time together and DH says it is his favorite part of the day.

I usually just wear comfy clothes since I am chasing a 10 month old all day. I don't wear makeup and don't really fix my hair unless I am going out but I make sure that it is presentable in case someone comes to the door.

I drive my kids to school, so I am dressed by 8. During the summer, it's more like 9. That being said, dressed to me is usually sweats with no makeup, unless I have somewhere to go.

Well, since I can't drive my son to school in jammies, I'm dressed first thing in the morning. Makeup is another story...

The whole family wakes up at the same time. We alternate showering. I personally get dressed after breakfast. Considering I don't wear make up even when I go out all the time, no I don't wear it at home. I do admit if I have a lot of cleaning to do, I don't get dressed nicely. Who wants bleach stains on good clothes?

Most days I get dressed with the school-aged kids. I'm usually on the go. Occassionally I do like to bum around in PJ's for the whole morning. It's cold up here now so it's kind of nice to have a lazy morning when we're not going anywhere. My 2 yr old twins don't complain.

I almost never wear make-up. even when I do, it's very little. My hair style is simple. All I have to do is comb it and I do that regardless of whether I am going out or not.

for the day? Or do you?
Do you do hair & makeup everyday = even when you are going no further out of the house than the mailbox?

Let's see... I'm sitting here in the T-Shirt I slept in, sweat pants and slippers. :rotfl:

I have to meet DH @ 4:30 though, so I'll end up taking a shower a little later and getting dressed afterward. Probably.

I am up and dressed to take the kids to school by 8:30. BUt that is just thrown on yoga pants and a sweatshirt 99% of the time.
Usually I come home, work out, shower, do my hair, makeup and get dressed. Most days jeans and a sweater or Tshirt. If I have absolutely nowhere to go(extremely rare, maybe once every 3 weeks) I will wear yoga pants and a tshirt.

It depends...

I throw on clothes quickly to take DS to the bus stop at 6:40am. When I get a shower and ready for the day depends on when DS2 takes a nap, or how late he sleeps in the morning. When he's a late sleeper, I get ready early in the morning...but no makeup. If he's up early, then I don't get ready until he goes down for a nap. There have been the crazy no-nap days where I don't get a shower until bedtime...

I get dressed and put make up on every day at 7am. I will stay in sweats if I am not feeling well, or on days like today when dh and the kids are home due to weather. We all just stay like bums in our sweats today!

Well, normally I try to be dressed by around 9 or so. I may not have makeup on or anything but I'm usually out of PJs by then. Lately though, if we don't have anywhere to go, I stay in Pjs or sweats most of the day. It's really cold and I'm 34 weeks pregnant so I think I have an excuse. :lmao:

Showered and dressed (jeans and turtleneck/sweater) by 6:15. I seldom even go downstairs until showered and dressed for the day.

Or do you?

Of course!

I shower and get dressed every day whether I leave the house or not. I usually try to get showered/dressed first thing in the morning around 6 or 6:30 or 8:30 depending on how the morning goes. However, if I know I'm going to be doing some serious cleaning (cleaning out the basement or closets or stuff like that) I will get showered after I finished the cleaning. Also yes to the make up. Usually just some eyeliner and gloss during the day. I don't do my make up during the day like I would if were going out somewhere at night.

When I was a SAHM, getting ready was taking a shower and getting dressed, which I did everyday, probably around 9. Now, on days I go to school, I shower and dress before class and wear comfy clothes (pretty routine on campus). If I am working, I shower, do my hair and makeup (waitress). If I am going out shopping or doing something on the weekend, I always get totally ready.:)

I get dressed within 15-20 minutes after getting up at 6:30 am. DH and I both take DS7 to his bus stop, then DH drops me back at home before he continues on to work. DS7 loves having both of us there to see him off.

Dressed means not in pajamas. If I'm not going anywhere, that means sweats and a comfy shirt. We have a rule in our house that you have to be "dressed" to eat lunch...which means changing out of your pajamas.

Well... what if you don't wear any pajamas? :rotfl:

I put on comfy/pj pants and a shirt when I get out of bed. I do not get "dressed" unless I'm leaving the house and I only wear make-up occasionally.

I have two super-pukey carsick kids, so it used to be a big pain to leave the house in the winter. (Now they can hold their own puke buckets and are able to predict when they are going to get sick-- not fun to arrive at a store with two kids who have puked inside their coats and all over their carseats.) There were times where I would realize I hadn't put on a pair of "real" pants for over a week.

Every one in my family showers before going to bed. Perhaps if I took one in the morning I would be more likely to get dressed.

My kids bus picks them up and drops them off at our front door, so I really don't need to set foot outside my house at all. I just wave at the bus driver through the window, so she doesn't notice my pants. ;)

My DH is usually home by 3:00, so if I need to go shopping or do errands I will often wait to get dressed and go out then.

Um ... I am in PJ's pants (clean, don't wear them to bed but they are most comfy with my belly) and an old sweatshirt (again clean). I have not showered yet.

It's hard for me ... My DS has been sleeping pretty poorly lately so he isn't falling asleep until close to 10-11 some nights which means I am up that late as well. Then he is up at 8:30 AM at the latest. I either need to get up before him (which I do if I happen to wake up but not lately) or try and figure out how to shower with a 2.5 year old running around the house scott free. Not easy ... DH works out of the house and I sometimes can grab a shower if he watches him for a few or I get DS up into his room to play while I shower. Otherwise, unless we have plans I usually take a shower when he goes down for a nap, which is now. This afternoon though I am painting the nursery so I'll shower after that before I start cooking dinner.

I'd love to get a regular schedule going and hope to eventually ... I just need all the sleep I can get now so I am not willing to get up 1/2 before DS just to shower.

get dressed? there are very few days spent in my PJ's. Some days I take the kids to school in my PJ's and come home ... but by the time I have to pick them up in the afternoon, I'm dressed.

I do not wear makeup every day, but I do shower and do my hair nearly every day.

I get shower/get dressed and do my hair and make up every morning even if I don't plan to go anywhere.

When I was a SAHM I showered and dressed every day because SAHM is mostly a misnomer-I was rarely home past 10 AM. We were out doing things when the kids were little and when they started school I was busy volunteering, etc. The only time I didn't shower/dress is if I was too sick to do that.

Generally I showered around 8 am as that was about an hour after I got up and got the kids fed, etc. I like some time in the morning to lounge around-like today-I usually get up an hour or so before I have to start getting ready for work to read the paper, drink my coffee, etc.

WOW - gone everyday? What did you do? :confused3 There is nothing to do around here that doesn't cost money - other than the park (too cold now for that) we are rarely gone from the house - maybe 1 day a week to buy groceries & that's it.
