Sago Cay or Marina dessert party?

I need some help from those who have had a dessert party in either of these locations.

Did you find that people from the hotel gathered around your party to watch wishes and listen to the music that you were piping in?

What were your food and beverage minimums and venue rental fees for these places?

We are thinking about doing this on a different night than our VR, as a welcome event.

I can tell you that there are no venue rental fees but there's a $75 setup fee. The food and beverage minimums are $1,000 for the Marina and $500 for a dessert party at Sago Cay (a full meal will trigger a $1,000 minimum there).
