Anyone have a room in their house painted sage green? Can you post a picture of the room? I am thinking sage green and cream for my living room but can't sell DH on the idea. It is currently white and grey from the previous owners.

Thanks!!!

I think sage is a beautiful color. I dont have any rooms in my house this color. Sweetpea's room is a green of sorts (she picked it out :confused3 ). Quite a few friends have rooms in their house this color as well as my brother and SIL. I wish I had pics to post for you. I think sage is a great color for rooms. Clean and calming IMO. Good luck on trying to sell your DH on it.

I feel your pain - DH didn't want our dining room sage green/cream... but I won out after a while and it looks fantastic!!! I'll post a picture of it tomorrow, the battery on my camera needs to be recharged. But I say go for it - it looks beautiful.

I did a 2 bathrooms sage in my old house. The bathroom with a window looked fantastic!!! Just beautiful!
I did the same color in the bathroom with no window and it looked terrible.:confused3

The light really makes a difference with green colors, I think.

I did my kitchen in sage, looks very nice and get lots of compliments on it
I'm at work (on my lunch break) so I can't post a picture, sorry
Jeni

My living room and kitchen area are in a sage (moss) green with a couple of the walls a cremey white. I painted the 2 walls in the green and 2 in the creme in the living room, adding depth to the room. I love it and it is very relaxing to me. I think men have no color concept until they see it, most men think in black, white and beige. A lot of people are also afraid of darker colors. One of my bedrooms is a burgandy with a bright flower bedspread and curtains.

I have sage green (Benjamin Moore's Dry Sage to be exact) in our bedroom. I don't have any pictures though. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this color. Even DH who is a white wall, sterile looking boring house type person loves the color in our room.

My husband's study is the same color. I will take a picture right now. I'll post it in a few minutes. :)

I have our master bedroom and our small room both in sage green with white trim. Sorry that I don't have pics though. It's a really nice and peaceful color. I love it.

Our kitchen is SW Clary Sage. We love it and get lots of compliments. Here's a picture (sorry, the only one I could find was before we moved in/when the house was still under construction - it's a mess):

The room behind it is the dining room and it is SW Red Bay, a deep red.

I used the exact same color (brand) for my master bedroom and bath. I love it. I'm glad I went alittle darker than what I intended because some sages come out the color of celery.

Another great green paint is Porter Paints' Tulip Poplar. I used it in my kitchen and it has a good mix of green and yellow.

Thank you so much for starting this thread. I have been thinking of painting the master bedroom in sage.

Right after we moved in some neighbors came to visit. The wife said it was the same color she'd used in her home too. It's very popular!

I am a green paint freak. My entire house is basically a green and cream extravaganza.

I will tell you, that everyone's reactions to the lovely greens on my second level are very, very positive. I don't think you can go wrong with this color.

I wish I could post a pic, but a. I have no camera at present and b. the color never comes out correctly in pics. Plus, my second level is currently a mess as contractors are putting decorative molding on my ceiling! :smooth:

I LOVE sage green. We just re-did our living room in a creamy white (Behr's "parchment paper") and have new sage (celery) green slipcovered furniture. I love it!

I just painted my kitchen yellow a couple of years ago...now I wish I had done it a sage green. Oh well. By the time I'm done doing all of the projects I want to do, it'll be time to do the kitchen again. :)
