All three...I think its the icons that got them all excited!!! HRH is my animal lovers....she will be a ladybug for Halloween...where her sisters will be Princesses :goodvibes

Okay, I cannot tell a lie.....this change really did surprise me.

I don't want to spoil my TR (shhh.....keep this secret ;))....on our last full day in Disney we went to AoA to have lunch in the food court (aka gift shop :lmao:) and did a tour outside of the buildings. Let me know if you want opinions.....:rolleyes1

I told Brian about all my changes :lmao: He just laughed and said the same thing...the great thing about the values is the theming...and that is what the girls love. I am a deluxe girl and prefer a better location, but they love the bus...and I DO appreciate the price tag..and that suite will be HUGE for us...will it stick????

Don't wanna jinx it :lmao:

hmmm... will it stick?? don't know .. of course you can always change and change and circle back to AoA!!

Oh Jeanette I will want to hear all about the Lion King Suites!! That is where we want to stay in November! I approve of this change!!:thumbsup2

Me too Jen!! :goodvibes

BUT ... our Queen is already thinkning about convening her court ... so we ALL know what THAT means!!! :goodvibes

So we are at 22 days to go....
It's October 22...
There's availability at WL CL for our first night....

What does an RC Queen do????

~change resorts....

~change to stay at one of the booked resorts the whole trip...

~ask the RC Princesses....

Option 3 of course....

I told the girls about AoA, and HRH was NOT happy with the LM room..:confused3 , but she likes AoA....but no snack room...

I gave her the choice of all the snack room hotels....anyone she'd like all three nights...the girls did a huddle...

They wanted to know if there was no snack room...did they have to eat in the gift shop (AKA food court :rotfl:)....

Well we could eat anything, and we could eat in the room..

HRH: What OTHER rooms are at Art of Animation Mommy??

Me: Cars, Nemo, Lion King..

HRH: Lion King

Me: REALLY???? Ok, well we would have lots of room and a table to eat cupcakes...(in my head thinking this girl just saved me hundreds of dollars)

There you have it...the latest switch, AoA Lion King!!!

Keep this one - I have to know - be our AoA FS RC beta tester! Remember that time we were booked AoA FS and then switched to BLT when it became available? Well, I'm selfishly wanting you to keep AoA FS since I didn't.

My concerns: Those stiff bedspreads and that food court that Christine already mentioned. The food court is an amazing concept with great choices, it's just the execution I'm worried about:guilty:. Do you really want to go over to Pop for anything other than a King Cupcake? Do you need to ship food to cook in the kitchenette?:p. Do I need to amend the Lodgers' Log again or should I hold off until you switch back to the snack room of the wilderness?

:confused3 Oh I dunno my friend...I just don't think this is truly HRH's final answer..we will all squish in one bed..I just know it. So I don't need a huge room...savings is good, but snack rooms rock ;)

Option of a deluxe without a snack room...NO WAY JOSE  I will hopelessly wish I was on the 7th floor....
WHY DID I CHANGE???

So confused...

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:
Wouldn't we all LOVE the answer to that hourly/daily question?!

There are the many moods of George Costanza AND sweet Jeanette::yes::

So, ........ a Lion King suite instead of the "snack room". :rotfl2:

But there are still 22 days to go .......... so I wonder if the LK suite will be it? ;)

I am in a POR Royal Room frame of mind right now Karin :flower3: I saw a pic of a campfire (reminded me of WL), lobby is beautiful, and there's a butterfly garden....it's less than AoA...but it's a mod and it's a HUGE resort....:confused3

And if HRH thinks it's a Princess room she will be mad (even though she is a Princess) :p

YES YES YES OPINION...We won't tell :grouphug:

Okay....you asked for it.....knowing your penchant for deluxes and club level....I would change. Here's my quick opinion:

Food court: Yes, there are lots of options. Almost to the point where it can be confusing. Put it to you this way, all 3 of us were getting pizza & we got in the wrong line. And we weren't the only ones. Once we got our pizzas, we had to go to an area on the other side of the food court just to get our desserts (we were on the DDP). Busy doesn't even begin to describe that place. And I'll be honest.....I found it to be not as clean as you would expect a new Disney resort to be.

Outdoor areas: We did not walk to the Little Mermaid section since I didn't feel like walking that far but we did check out the other areas. Lion King: very close to the food court, the theming outside was ok but kind of underwhelming once you look at all the theming at the Nemo section and the Cars section. The Nemo section, especially the pool, is really cute. In my family's opinion, the Cars section is by far the best themed section of that resort. It is very well done! Now, of course, I didn't go into any of the rooms.

Overall, I think it's worth a trip to visit for lunch or something. But, after our visit, I have no inclination whatsoever to actually stay there. Just my 2 cents. I'm sure some people absolutely love it!

Thank you Amanda  I also agree the Cars section looks great. By far my favorite...ALAS as a family of 7...to stay legally, we'd need a suite AND a LM room..I like the big icons and such..being the only adult with 3 young ones I can't imagine a confusing food court :headache: I remember DH and I juggling trays for our 8 person breakfast at Pop while MIL waited with the kiddos...I may have to make an executive decision on this one..or pull the big guns....DADDY :rotfl2:

DH can talk the girls into anything...better than I can....I need to stop telling them though..because if I change it anyway...it just reinforces MOMMY IS NUTS :rotfl:

You are not nuts....you just want what's best for your family. :goodvibes

I'm not saying to definitely NOT stay there....I just wanted to be honest that I didn't fall in love with it and I think there may resorts better suited for y'all.

Okay, I'm confused!! :rotfl: LM or a Suite?:yay:

While I don't want to be the one to put a damper on the AOA plan :sad2:...have you read the reviews about the food court? At first I thought, well, it's new still working out kinks, but it sounds like a madhouse. Long slow lines for everything and less than friendly or helpful CMs...oh, my... and those LM rooms are a hike! I knew the LM rooms would be a hike - being a deluxe gal, I am used to long walks to our room, but not sure I'd want to do it for a LM room. ;)

Wherever you stay, it is going to be a magical time for all!!pixiedust:

Put your hiking boots on ..... at least for one night in January!!! :rotfl2:

I have to echo what Amanda said...we too went for lunch there and it was a bit of a madhouse.:sad2: That said, the food was really good and the theming there is over the top. Who knows if our plans will stick to stay there in Nov, POR may be great for May AND November!! Only time will tell!:rotfl: Good luck with this one!;)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was a bit crazy there! And I should have mentioned that our food was indeed good. Especially my salad that I had with my pizza.

This trip is most definitetly different for us. Especially since I am going with the girls...I think I am bringing a stroller...but not sure, they never want to sit :confused3

With HRH's sensory issues...POR looks relaxing , I did bring it up yesterday...and it's a go!!!

POR Royal Room~River View

River view was the only one available with the AP rate :upsidedow And it's almost $200 less than the Lion King room. So I am reworking our Touring Plans

:goodvibes I am much more settled with POR..I know where we will be since the RR are in 2 buildings!! Boat to DTD!! Butterfly garden!

Nervous about all the bus stops, but I think the walk to the 1st stop shouldn't be too bad...I hope at least :)

:dance3::dance3: I think it's fitting the the Queen and her Princess stay in a Royal Room!! :thumbsup2 And saving some $$$ .... all good!! :goodvibes

Jeanette While I have never stayed at POR I do think the RR are perfect for you and your 3 Princess's ! Don't Change! princess:princess:princess:

I LOVE THIS CHANGE!!

It is an easy walk over the bridge to the lobby - be sure to request a corner room - it makes a nice difference at this resort. Parterre Place is my favorite because it has nicer river views...and some of the corner rooms open to a courtyard on one side....but.... Oak Manor would be a bit closer to the bridge and with 3 little ones those few steps can make a difference.

The Royal Rooms look like so much fun for little girls!
