My girls got rashes where there safety tats were. We had the type you write on yourself and stick on without water. I am debating buying the original tattoo type to try next. Has anyone had this experience? Do you think the others might be ok? They wear random temporary tattoos with no problems.

Why not just write the info one them with a sharpie? I can't imagine it would irritate their skin.

I always get the wrist bracelets that are basically indestructible. You can get a back of 12 for like 10.00, usually use about 5 or so each trip.

We use the tattoo ones and have never had a problem with them. They are easy to use and last a couple days. My girls loved them!!!!

Out of curiosity, where in them do you place the tattoo? I'm concerned it will look bad in photos. They look very big.

We used tats on our cruise & land trip several years ago and had no trouble we placed ours on our sons arm (bicep) so if he had on clothes it wasn't visible but easy for him to show a cm if he was lost. Thankfully we never needed it but we do plan on using them again in 16 days.

I also saw somewhere where you just write the info on your kiddo and then go over it with liquid bandage to keep it on the skin!!

We use the tattoos too (original where they print the phone number on it - they seem to stay on better than the write ons). They aren't very big IRL. We put them on the bicep too. If they really bothered you in pictures they are pretty easy to edit out if you or a friend have photoshop if you did put them lower. :) We haven't needed them yet (haven't ever lost a child - knock on wood), but I feel better knowing they have them on.

We put them on the inside of their arm. I just look through most of our pictures and could hardly notice them unless their arms were in the air. But you could easily put it higher up on the arm where their shirt sleeve would cover it. Just let them know it is there and if they get lost to show a CM.

I'm thinking now with the magic bands, I might not need the tattoos... After all, the CMs can pull all my info up when she taps the band to a reader... Hmmmm

That was my thought as well. Their names are supposed to be printed on the inside of the magic band as well. (I will find out once they are shipped)

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have children under a certain age required to have the magic band for this purpose.

It's only the first name that's printed (up to 9 characters I think) or you can put a nickname, but any CM with a device can scan the band and see their name and all their MDE information so it's actually really cool technology... IF the child agrees to wear it.

Being from Canada I won't get mine shipped in advance to try them on and see how she handles them, so might get safety tats just in case.

We are definitely going to try them on the girls once they come in. The girls are 2 & 5. I'm only concerned with the two year old keeping hers on. The 5 yo should be fine.
